how long so ov tests stay positive after ov? plus EWCM question!

Hi. Just a couple of questions. Firstly is it normal to have EWCM a couple of day before ov test goes positive? Plus the tests I have are off Ebay. Once it goes positive it says I should probably ovulate within 24-36 hours. Will they return to negative once its happened?

I get the ewcm about 5 days before ovulation so you have less than me. I have always thought myself fairly normal in that respect.

The test should go back to negative, although apparently you can get more than one lh surge in a cycle and a surge doesn't necessarily mean you ovulate (according to what I have read on here).
