Take another test in a few days, but I did get very faint lines with both of my pregnancies. It's always worth double checking though, just in case!

Keep us informed, suss. Fingers crossed for you xxx

thanks igw - great name - am just too terrified to get excited as this will be my 13th attempt! I do have a db who is 17 months but desperate for a sibling for him.

Well, I hope it's good news. Like I say, I have my fingers crossed for you xxx

I do think retesting to be on the safe side is a good idea, for your own peace of mind more than anything

suss · 05/07/2006 13:23

will retest fri before getting excited.

was going to ask the same thing - did you have an HSG injection? I got a positive 4 days before I was due to test but I was paranoid that it was a residual of the injection. It's supposed to take 14 days to get out of your system. I'd try another one in couple of days. Of course if you've had a natural cycle then it looks like it's worked! Best of luck.

suss · 05/07/2006 20:26

Yes, but I have never had a +ve test before unless I have been pg and I have tested early before. I'll let you know what happens on fri. katie and Pruni how things with you?

not for me either this time. mind you I do think I am being too optimistic sometimes as it took so long to have db. I have one more attempt left after which we are saying goodbye to clinics. what about you pruni?

thanks pruni, i do know what you mean, you try so hard for it not to affect you but it does inevitably, and infertility, ivf is so pervasive, whether you are trying for your first, second or however many children. the truth is failure to conceive at any time is grim. So i am sending love to you too, with lots of luck for your next attempt!
