AF stops, then starts two days later

Thought I'd post here since I am TTC and people here probably pay more attention to AF than most!

I came off the pill about 6 months ago. I have settled into a 25/26 day cycle. I bleed heavily (heavy for me, maybe 30ml per day) for the first two days, then it stops. Nothing. Not even a spot of blood, nothing on tissue when I wipe, for two days. Then, I get another two days of bleeding (5ml?), bright red.

I'm not in any pain, it's just a worry. I guess it's better than six solid days. I'm just concerned that it could be a sign of something that could affect me getting pregnant. I'm not on any medication.

I know I can't get a diagnosis online, but should I go to the doctor, or is this normal? I don't want to take up an appointment if there is no cause for concern.

My periods are usually like that, but cycle is 28/29 days and I usually get a day or two of spotting before hand but always the break inbetween. I'm 36 have two kids and ttc no 3 af has always been like this so I'm not worried but if you are maybe see a gp.

Forgot to say my first two days are really heavy.

I always have a random extra day of bleeding after my period has stopped. It is very annoying! No idea why this happens.

Thanks for the reply. I get a couple of days spotting before too. I keep thinking it's implantation bleeding . I've been on the pill for most of my adult life so don't really know what's normal for me.

Sometimes I get this normal bleed for 4 days then stops next days it's medium flow for one more day then gone next!
