Hi everyone Im on cycle day 10 and have had bit of crampy tummy today, I used clear blue ovulation advanced test on thursday and it was just the circle, but then never tested yesterday and today when ive testing this afternoon after holding for 1.5 hours its showing a fixed smiley, do u think its right and im ovulating now?

Probably.

It's difficult. To get the best result out of the CB opks I think you are supposed to use FMU. Also, you have to use them every day consistently, as it retains your information, in order to find your peak. So each day it compares it to the last to see if the increase is a surge or not.

I guess there is a possibility it thinks you surged as your readings have changed a lot in two days, whereas if you'd taken it every day, the staggered increases might not have registered as a surge.
Not 100% sure!

ive just tried internet cheapie OPK and the line is nearly as dark as control line, not a lot of difference between the two, i will just have to keep testing with these i think and wait two days then try my Cb opk again

I just dont know how i missed the flashing smiley as thought these are supposed to show a few days before

But potentially the flashing would have shown Friday morning and this morning.

By this afternoon you might register as peak.

Also, not everyone gets the standard two days flashing. I've had 2, 7 and none!

FX you've caught your surge. Go dtd if you haven't already! Smile

I had 3 empty faces then 3 days of flashing then a peak.

I went straight to fixed once, on CD7. Then I spent a couple weeks with flashing before the fixed once. I don't trust them much at all now! If you feel like you might be oving, get shagging!

You have to do them every day, if you skip them then they may not work properly, like someone else said it may have gave you a fixed at the wrong time as it detected a higher surge as missed a day...difficult to know! My advice would be use cheaper ones now this month and if af rears her ugly head go back to cb next month and so every morning!!

Hi, not sure if it will help but read a post from a natural fertility expert on another website about how to tell when you are fertile. Its all about recognising your bodies signs leading up to and during fertility. I found it quite interesting and may be worth a read ? Not sure but hope it helps!
