Cosleeping and conceiving...

We cosleep with 6 month old DS in a sidecar cot and are pretty happy with the arrangement - BUT the one fly in the ointment is that I'm wondering if I'll have to night wean and/or move him in order to get my period back?

Currently he feeds at least a couple of times a night, as its taking a while to get the hang of self-soothing and it's by such a long way the easiest sleep inducer Smile

It is still early days, but it took 2 years of trying (unexplained infertility) and an MC before DS arrived and we'd really like to start the ball rolling with ttc #2!

I had same issue.. At 6 months I stopped bfeeding on demand and just breastfed during the day only- once in morning, once around lunch, once before bed (I think) and just gave normal solids the rest of the time and very occasionally a bit of formula in a beaker. Periods back and now preggers xxx

...and no didnt move her out of our bed, but just gave her a cuddle and she went back to sleep. Main issue after that was ttc with a baby in our bed! Not easy!

Thanks, good to hear it's possible! The ttc part does have it's own challenges, though we've decided that having to grab any opportunity and fool around on the sofa brings an awesome teenage excitement level to our very long term relationship Wink
