Pregnant on implant?

Hello,

I am a bit confused and wondering whether I could be pregnant, hoping for some advice please!

I have had a contraceptive implant for 18 months, which seemed to be fantastic as I had no bleeding at all. But about 5 months ago I started having spotting, it would last a few days then disappear but always came back, and at times was really quite heavy. Took a pregnancy test, was negative. So about 2 months ago, I decided I had better see the GP as it obviously wasn't going to stop on it's own. She gave me 3 months supply of the combined pill and said it would probably settle down, back to no periods, afterwards. I have now been taking it for around 2 months. The thing is, I can't stop wondering if the bleeding is because I am pregnant... I know it's unlikely on the implant but I've been reading on here that it does happen. I think my boobs are a bit bigger and tender, but don't know if that is just the contraceptive pill doing that. I did another test before seeing the doctor and it was negative, I think, though with some angling it and squinting I wondered if there was a very very faint line, but thought I was probably imagining things.

Any thoughts welcome please!

I was on the implant for 2 years this time (had it out a month ago) and three years immediately before that. There is obviously a very small risk of pregnancy even with the implant. But it is a really well know feature of it that it can completelymess up your cycle and that there can be random bleeding at times. I have variously had normal monthly bleeds, 7 months with nothing, spotting and then really long heavy bleeds. One to keep an eye on definitely but imho more likely to be the implant. You could always do another test if really worried?

I had the implant and thought I was pregnant loads. Apparently pregnancy symptoms are common. It's a 1-1000 chance you could be pregnant but the nurse said to me it does happen.
When I had it out it messed up my cycle and I'm ttc but no idea when I ovulate or what's going on.
It was sold to me as a contraceptive that would allow you to come off and return to normal immediately. This was not true and isn't for many women.
