I'm 40 and ttc. Fell pregnant 1st month of trying but mc, been ttc now for another 5 months and nothing :( I've used opks each month, timed sex, cut out caffeine and alcohol, had reflexology but still no results. Anyone in the same position or got any tips they can share? Thanks.

Hi, I am 39 and like you have been trying for 7 months, had two early miscarriages, and just about to have a d and c tomorrow, as heartbeat stopped at 8 weeks. I have been having acupuncture and had a hysteroscopy over in athens as this is my seventh miscarriage. Wish I had the answers, are you taking the usual vitamins etc xx

Sounds similar to me. I'm 40, ttc since July 2012. Got pregnant quickly but miscarried in October 2012. Periods have been irregular since. Went to GP for hormone tests and all 5 tests came back normal. Waiting for results of sperm test next week. I did/do feel positive that we CAN get pregnant and there are no problems identified so far. I think it's just age .. There aren't as many good eggs so we've just got to keep on going. I can't be arsed with all the shagging. Poor old hubby gets tired of being "treated like a machine" too (he's 43). I usually "give up" a few days after the smiley face... I chart using fertility friend which is handy for knowing when you're period is coming as your temp drops that day or day before so you can stop over-analysing and become normal again! Taking evening primrose oil, folic acid and multivitamins. Also started taking 1 asprin low dose daily. Usually I'm ok about it but at the moment I'm due on in 3 days and tested negative. Happy to take advice.. I think I need a ttc bootcamp!!

Hi I am in the same situation as you inshock. Have been using answer ovk, which was very good and concieved quickly. Had an early mc three months ago: (. Now the same ovks do not show that I am ovulating, but I still have regular AF. We have still been dtd ttc with no success. All our tests at a fertility clinic were fine and did t suggest any issues with conceiving. But they suggested my eggs can be getting low on count (hm, did I need to pay for this test at my age and as the "test came from a different lab and result was not readily compatible with their test results). Anyways. getting really antsy, which I know may be making matters worse ttc.
