Great party here today for her school friends! A rip roaring success! Very proud!

Neeko · 24/05/2014 07:49

Hello all and happy birthday to all our birthday boys and girls. Hope they all enjoy their special day. Can't believe MLS's baby is 2 today - just how did that happen?!

Apologies if I miss anything/anyone as I'm on the iPad and can't scroll back and forward. The laptop is sadly on its way out.

I thought I'd finished my marking on Wednesday but they sneakily added another 24 which is why I didn't make it on here as promised Angry. It was all done online this year which was further complicated by the dodgy laptop. Think I know where the money will be going this year Smile.

I only have four weeks left of my promotion! It's been a really challenging year and I will be relieved to step back down and do what I do best. I've been told by quite a few colleagues that I'm good at the role Blush (probably because you need to be organised and particular to the nth degree BlushGrin) but I just don't enjoy the managing colleagues part of it and the hours have been ridiculous. The DDs don't seem to have missed out but I wouldn't like to do it indefinitely.

Blue. Sorry to hear you've had an op. Hope you are well-recovered now. Glad all is sorted with DS2 and schooling. I really think the extra year makes all the difference, particularly at exam time. Lovely to have our babies as preschoolers for one last year Smile

Right, can't remember anything else I wanted to say so going to post this, go back and read, then post again.
Do you remember when our greenhouse was so busy that you needed pen and paper to keep up? Shock

Neeko · 24/05/2014 07:59

Moon. I was so sorry to hear about the funeral and then your poor dog. Hmm What a horribly sad day for you. It's really lovely that your DS is bringing some comfort to your neighbour and so good of you to keep going round. Most people do tail off after a funeral, don't they, and it's often in the months and years afterwards that the bereaved need others most.
Hope being back at work is easing a little and that there's something closer to home on the horizon soon.
DS just sounds adorable Smile

Speaking of adorable: Shroom your happiness at your wee family oozes from your posts. It always makes me Smile to read them.
Really sorry to hear about your dog too. I'm not a dog-lover for myself (to the disgust of the DDs) but can understand how big a part of the family they become.

MrsK hope you are keeping well and the gd is under control. Can't believe how quickly it's passing.
How's Gracie? (Sorry-can't remember what her most recent username was Blush)

Neeko · 24/05/2014 08:16

Sabs. Lovely that you are having extended time off with the kids but sorry to hear that the sleep is still difficult. Looking back now I can see how dd2 very nearly broke me with all her nighttime shenanigans and really think I wasn't fully functioning for at least the first two years. We have come through the other side but she's still a restless sleeper and often wakes us in the night whilst she's arguing with us in her sleep. Grin If we let her stay up late at all then she's up absurdly early the next morning too.
She did get into the nursery we wanted for next session which is a relief and it's a morning place which will be better for her too. The Scottish Government's extension to the nursery hours have made the start and stop times funny and I'd imagine that most afternoon kids will lose a lot of their entitlement because parents would need to hang about for 45 mins after school pick up to let them stay until the end of their session. So silly and ill-though-out.

4ever. Hope you had a lovely holiday. We're off to a caravan in Great Yarmouth in the first week of July and I can't wait. I've never been in that area before.
Loved your description of T's laughSmile and the plans for both parties. Oh and congratulations on being confirmed. ThanksThanks

Cloud. Loving the cake negotiation. Clearly your DS believes you are capable of anything Smile. I always have a wobble as I'm putting the cake together. Good job we live half a mike away from a 24hour Asda Grin.

Rumours. How are you lovely? How's everything going with your boys? Does DS2 start school this year? Hope you're managing some time to yourself and the whole sleep issue has improved. Any further developments on the teacher training or is that all on hold for now?

Phew! Think that's all and at least I've moved the thread on a few posts. Hope you all have a good long weekend/half-term.

Neeko · 24/05/2014 08:20

What is half a mike? Grin I meant mile!

CloudOfStarlings · 24/05/2014 15:26

neeko Lol live v close to adds too & invariably end up dashing out last minute for supplies I'd forgotten! This is the time where I get complacent thinking I have ages til ds1's bday when I really don't..need to start planning!
Huge congrats on nearly reaching the end of your promotion, bet you've done a fabulous job! Will be nice to see your girls more though.

So am I the only emmsy still thinking of having more babies?? Shock come on ladies someone will join me on the bench right? (let me stress I'm NOT on it yet..just hopefully in the future!!)

Lurking with no time to post properly, but omg, your cakes are amazing cloud and 4ever do you make them yourselves? Was I missing the day they taught cake making skills for mums? [shocked] they are truly spectacular!

Also 4ever I haven't had an af either since J was conceived, like you breastfeeding and the pill kept them at bay and now I'm on a pill where amazingly I don't seem to get af anymore, which is the best!

Must dash but will get back here soon for proper posting. Hope you're all enjoying your bank holiday weekends.

moonmrs · 25/05/2014 21:04

Ahh bugger I should check the smileys when I type them, I obviously meant Shock

moonmrs · 25/05/2014 21:04

Ooh and Bike Tennis

Now I really am going!

4everhopeful · 25/05/2014 21:40

Aw Thanks moon! Im a semi cheat, baked 2 sponges, but brought ready made buttercream and ready roll icing, and tinker bell cake topper!
Feeling all emotional that my baby girl is going to be 4 tomorrow! Keep reliving my long induced labour, thinking, this time 4 years ago I was having my epidural/waters broken/finally properly dilating, all with the midwife that ended up delivering Teddy! Also extra sentimental as Dh and I together for 9years today! Smile

Happy birthday to my beautiful baby girl Summer tomorrow! ! Grin

CloudOfStarlings · 26/05/2014 09:43

Happy birthday to summer!! That cake is absolutely gorgeous 4ever! Well done you. Hope she enjoys her second party today!
Lol moon thank you but really it's nothing special.. thesponges underneath wwe're cracked & broken haha! Icing covers a multitude of sins.. I just bought the Peter rabbit figures, and stuck on some matchmakers! Making the little vegetables was fiddly but not hard :)

And ha, I'm nowhere near the bench right now ladies..maybe next year!

Neeko · 28/05/2014 18:22

Maybe you subconsciously really wanted us to know how you made the cake?!?!?! GrinGrin Bet it's lovely.
Hope S had a lovely day xx

moonmrs · 01/06/2014 21:10

Hi ladies,

Hope you've all had good weekends. Sorry to have not posted much lately, I just don't seem to have the time these days and since work has banned mn on t'internet now I can only lurk on phone as reception isn't great.

I have managed to get some changes made at work to make things a little more bearable - a half an hour earlier finish every day (which means I end up with a whole extra hour at home due to traffic being so much better a little earlier) and a possible day working from home (still being looked into but agreed in principle). But the biggest one - I'm getting promoted! Totally wasn't prepared for that. Will be responsible for my colleague I work alongside with now, who, it has to be said, is somewhat of a dickhead (sorry) and frustrating to work with, but I'm hoping we can make it work. A few extra pennies will be definitely help too. I am still looking for something else, but these things will keep me happier for now, not exactly what I'd planned but better than a kick in the teeth!

Speaking of which, little J has 2 teeth! Last week 2 bottom front teeth appeared at the same time, and his front 2 don't look far behind. Thank goodness I stopped breastfeeding a few weeks ago! He stopped all by himself, I was only giving 2 feeds in the evening when I got in from work, but he totally lost interest so I didn't push him, he is happy with his formula now and its working for everyone. And tbh I am happy to stop too, I feel bad saying it but I am glad to get my boobs back and they'll hopefully shrink a bit. Do they shrink? I'm still wearing my bf bras as I cant fit into anything else, but I am so hoping I will get back into my old size as H cups aren't fun Hmm how long should I wait for them to go down and I guess I should get measured? J is into everything. He is almost walking Shock and he does an amazingly quick army crawl. I love him so much, he makes me smile stupidly all the time. I can't believe he is 8 months old, the time has just disappeared. Its mine and dh's 2 year wedding anniversary next weekend, and that time has also flown by.

Well I think I have rambled away enough, and I still haven't done personals, I am rubbish I know Grin next time! And I will talk less about myself lol.

Neeko · 02/06/2014 17:34

Hi Moon. Great news about the job. The positive changes should make it all more bearable. Very impressed by J's teeth too and happy that your bf days ended easily. Can only talk from experience re boobs going down. I started off as a B cup pre dc and have never got below an E cup since. Sorry Smile

moonmrs · 02/06/2014 19:58

Thanks neeko Smile Ah no really, I started out with E cups! They were bad enough, I don't want to keep these H cups at all Shock

Neeko · 04/06/2014 07:52

Well I know quite a few people whose boobs shrunk after so you might be lucky!

MrsKate · 04/06/2014 14:40

Neeko · 04/06/2014 20:23
