Oh shroom, you must be a bit having psyched yourself up for the sweep but baby will be here when he/she's fully cooked and ready to enter the world, just think you'll be having those precious newborn cuddles and staring sessions soon . The first night just you and them is magical just magical

neeko I'm so getting a dog one day, a female one and I shall be using my girls names and we shall sit and chat and roll our eyes at the "men" of the house and their strange ways

shroom I know just how you feel..towards the end with both mine I went through phases of 'I'm so ready, bring it on!' to complete fear and back again.. big baby does NOT necessarily mean more difficult/problematic labour though so don't worry yourself about that.. maybe try listening to hypnobirthing tracks on youtube or somewhere, with breathing exercises that you can try to remember during the second stage of labour? Thinking of you lots, it is a nerve-wracking time xxx

shroom sorry no words of wisdom really but lots of people have big babies and maintain its easier than giving birth to a smaller one? Maybe its a bit like dh says - big cars are easier to park than small ones!

shroom hugs as I know it must be very deflating after expecting things to happen. BUT, tis much better to have a well cooked baby, and that is coming from someone who's biggest was 4lbs 7oz...

My baby started nursery yesterday can't quite believe it.

All is well here, had a crap 2013. Hoping this year will be better. Will fill you in when I get a chance.

blue will try and post pics if DH will let me. He has an aversion to FB. I can tell you that its the 6th best hotel in Edinburgh on tripadvisor and we have a castle view room. It is costing £££s but I thought sod it, we don't get to go away sans kids very often.

Ah bless you Shroom I know you're attitude is mainly laid back cos you're just so happy to be nearly there, very relate! Also as a mum to 2 9lbers, and 2 very different births (spinal and forceps in theatre after 5 day induction! ..and then primal 3hr labour from pessary going in, to baby literally flying out after 2 pushes & dilating 1cm- 10cm in 90mins with no pain relief whatsoever, I think you're so in the moment, size is irrelevant when quite literally, push comes to shove!

wonderful news Mrs k. Words of wisdom, Shroom, OK, ime, size doesn't make any difference. in my first antenatal group, smallest baby= most tricky birth. so exciting that this most wanted and longed for baby will be here so soon

Happy half year birthday to my boy Teddy! How has time gone sooooo fast?

Yay re mini eggs (can someone chuck some my way please ) and Happy Half Birthday to Teddy! The last six months have whizzed by!

4ever nothing going on here, even the BH's have calmed down... Have got the odd niggly bit of lower back pain/period pain but it quickly disappears. I reckon we'll probably reach the due date and so probably the induction date three days after. Am pretty uncomfortable now tbh, but less than 2 weeks to go.

Thanks for all the advice/wise words re the birth, it really helped! Am still experiencing moments of panic, but keep reminding myself that I've done it before so I can do it again

Btw moon J is just adorable! What a cheeky little smile he has, and a real twinkle in his eye. Bless him!

Glad you feel a bit better about the big baby thing.. my ds2 was 10lbs & his birth was soo much better than 8lb ds1 ..So natural & primal as 4ever puts it :) im sure you won't be having one anywhere near 10lbs though don't worry my gorgeous monkey ds2 was a freak of nature! I blame rumours for predicting a 10lb-er
