Has anyone here been prescribed additional progesterone on an otherwise non medicated cycle to help with falling pregnant?

Yes, but for recurrent miscarriage rather than problems conceiving. 400mg Cyclogest twice a day from day 21. My consultant did say it can actually hinder some women from conceiving though.

Only after I was pregnant to reduce the risk of MC

Thanks. What effect did it have, if you don't mind me asking?

Didn't work last time. Remains to be seen if this one makes it.
Lesley Regan says low progesterone is the sign of a failing pregnancy rather than the cause of it. Prof Quenby thinks there are a subset of women with low progesterone in luteal phase where it can help implantation. I think everyone is agreed it doesn't hurt other than by stringing along a doomed pregnancy for a bit, and it has been shown to be useful in IVF cycles etc.

That's really helpful, thank you. Best of luck.
