Hello ladies. I really need some reassuring words! This is our first month of trying and I got my BFP on Saturday. Shock now this morning which is when my period is due, I have had a pink watery discharge when I wipe. Sorry TMI first thing in the morning! I have no pain with it. Me and my partner had sex yesterday so don't know if that's led to this although yesterday I was fine, no bleeding.

Can anyone help\advise? I know it's very very early days but I'm so worried.

It's really common that women get spotting especially during the time they would have AF. Just take note if it gets heavier or obviously doesn't stop. I presume you're going to the doc in the next few days anyhow to tell them. Don't worry though. It's so so common.
Congratulations on your Bfp!

Thanks allchat. I was going to call the docs today but now I feel like waiting a few days just in case and keep an eye on it.

I have also been told that some blood when your period is due is not uncommon - apparently it is called breakthrough bleeding and is a result of your hormones still not having fully realised a pregnancy is in place. That's the way it was explained to me in "layman's terms" anyway. It is also common to have some bleeding post sex.

It is good you aren't having any pains - just keep an eye on it. Do you have any sanitary towels or panty liners you can use to monitor things?

If the bleeding becomes heavier or fresh then do consult your GP for advice x
