Right, so what's the general consensus on exercise during 2ww?

Hi all. I run three or four times a week (around 5k at a time) and sometimes go to the gym too. I don't want to put my life on hold so to speak, but does anyone have any advice on safe exercise during the 2ww? Thanks.

I shouldn't imagine it would make any difference? As long as you are consistently exercising and not taking on a brand new hardcore exercise regime I don't think you can do yourself any harm.

You can exercise when pregnant you know! Your life doesn't have to stop. Before the embryo has even implanted I wouldn't change your lifestyle at all.

Yes, just continue as normal. So don't suddenly go crazy, but don't stop either as it keeps you fit. As long as you eat well and have a healthy weight exercising like you do is fine.

Continue as normal, just nothing mega strenuous like heavy weights. No reason to change routine, even when preggers!

Continue as normal. Everything I've read says not to up the intensity too much or start anything new, but continuing as you have been is fine as long as you feel well and aren't advised otherwise by GP/midwife. I generally exercise daily: running, swimming, riding, yoga, pilates, gym, and it doesn't seem to be doing me any harm Smile

I'm currently training for a half marathon and tomorrow will be running 10k for the first time but with periods of rest. Is this a good idea??? I'm in my 2ww and so confused about exercise right now.

I think it is fine. You can exercise whilst pregnant.

I was wondering this - wanted to go back to Shredding after a month off. On the one hand it's pretty strenuous, but on the other I might not even be pregnant, so why not?
