Spotting on day AF due and cramps but BFP

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has experienced this... I was due my AF today and woke up with usual type cramps followed by a few tiny spots of non fresh blood. Nothing more had happened by this avo so just took a test and BFP! I have a son and with him I also had quite bad cramps to coincide with when my AF would have been due, but no spotting. Has anyone had that and things been ok?

No personal experience of this but I know a lot of women do bleed in the first trimester without losing the baby. The positive BFP is a good sign and tbh there's nothing to be done but wait. Hopefully everything will settle and the pregnancy proceed but if things are going wrong then it's because there's nothing anybody could have done. Hope everything is ok for you and congratulations on the BFP.
