Come to the BESH funfair - we have a coconut shy, apple bobbing, dodgems and much much more. The prizes? Shiny new BFPs, of course. You can only go on the rides if you're a barren 30plus-er, the entrance fee is one completed BESHtionairre.

Shocking bad form euro yep I'd be livid too. I hope you get through tomorrow to get some results. Fuckers.

Dor that's fab news, you snuck that one in quietly... Congrats whoop whoop!

FrankelInFoal · 21/12/2013 18:30

Can you leave irate answer phone messages at the clinic Euro? I'd be demanding a partial refund on the cost of the test for their idiocy.

evilgiraffe · 21/12/2013 19:57

Arrrrgh, euro, how infuriating. Give them hell tomorrow!

eurochick · 22/12/2013 11:31

For anyone not on t'other place...

The result was good. The HCG count had more than doubled. I'm going to try to hold off the menkulling now until I'm approaching the scan on 3 Jan.

Thanks again, BESHhags.

CatsCantFlyFast · 22/12/2013 11:34

Amazing news Euro! Will keep a gentle grip on your toe to support through the next few weeks. What a great Xmas pressie though Grin

Nokkie73 · 22/12/2013 11:50

I am so ridiculously pleased for you euro. Cautiously pleased of course. Happy bloody Christmas.

As long as its not pissing it down, I think you'll be fine Bugs. An excuse to wrap up warm, hot chocolate as you go round etc etc. I don't think (...) it's meant to be proper cold this year.

The polar bears and penguins should be OK.

OComeAllYeFaithFul · 22/12/2013 18:44

We went to Chester zoo one February and it was good. We did like sinks suggests and wrapped up warm and it was fine. Stopped and had a cream tea IIRC.

Woo euro Xmas Grin!!!

FriendofDorothy · 22/12/2013 20:40

I would. The Mister and I used to go to zoos in the middle of winter quite regularly!

MyNameIsWinkly · 22/12/2013 20:42

Berlin Zoo was freezing but brilliant last week.

Argh hags, I have new HRT these last few weeks, the progesterone suits me much better, hurrah, but the patches themselves are crap. They're meant to last a week but they only stick on for a few days at best and the glue is really irritating my skin. If you see me subtly scritching at my ass that's why... I have little red blotchy squares all over my lower torso. Not a good look for the sechsing, damn it. What's a girl to do?

Whoop whoop Euro Smile xx

OComeAllYeFaithFul · 23/12/2013 08:58

cherry it's very common to have an allergy to the glue on these patches. I'd inform the clinic (?) that you're having the reaction.

bugs are you laying an egg?

cherrycoconut · 23/12/2013 09:23

I'm worried they won't do the same hormones in different glue faif. My last patches were great but the hormones didn't suit.

What's up with the ovaries bugs?
Hope you're mind is easier today euro.

CatsCantFlyFast · 23/12/2013 10:18

Cherry can you cut the centre of the patch out (assuming the centre has the hormones and the outside has the glue) and stick it on with a big plaster or tape that doesn't irritate? I did this with nicotine patches but not sure if they're the same. worth a try?

cherrycoconut · 23/12/2013 10:32

You're being a very good chicken Bugs, trust in the plan.
Sadly not Merk it's all integral unfortunately. I'll be scratching 'till the New Year I think as we're away but luckily I have 6 months worth so I can rotate them every few days. Hey ho, minor irritation in the scheme of things.

FizzyFeet · 23/12/2013 11:02

cherry you have my sympathy. Sometimes it's the small things that can get you down the most. If the itching is really bad maybe a low dose antihistamine might help?

bugs stick with it. You probably would get pregnant just through the "regular" way, but IVF gives you a much, much better chance over a shorter timeframe.

euro have a given you a woo hoo yet? If not, wooooo hoooooo !!!! Very good news and I'm keeping everything crossed for the scan.

to everyone else - nice to see you old timers keeping us company round these parts.
