Come to the BESH funfair - we have a coconut shy, apple bobbing, dodgems and much much more. The prizes? Shiny new BFPs, of course. You can only go on the rides if you're a barren 30plus-er, the entrance fee is one completed BESHtionairre.

Is your collection internet cheapies or expensive tests? Don't get mixed up between this hobby and your shooting hobby, pee sticks don't make good ammo. Any more spotting? I still have everything crossed for you, but didn't want to pester you.

fizz a mat leave do? Really? How awful. You have my sympathies. When the last differ in our office went off, they had a picnic lunch in the office for her, with pate and squidgy cheese and all the things differs aren't meant to eat - that amused me, it was a bit like BESH approved passive aggressive baby shower gifts. Anyway I think it would be very difficult not to get invested in the frosties. When does your frozen cycle start?

I am looking forward to Team Christmas Curry tonight.

bugs I love a shitty magazine, but how pointless are those articles? I am not going to eat a stick of cucumber instead of a few pringles on Christmas day, this year or ever.

Our Christmas food shop arrives on Sunday. It's all cheese and nibbles, nary a salad item to be seen Grin

So the POAS was positive, euro? That's the thing to concentrate on :) Hopefully the blood test will back it up with more good news (NB how come you get a blood test? It was never offered to me )

eurochick · 19/12/2013 12:49

bugs I can't believe people are paid to write that trash. Bring on the mince pies.

draf yep, it was positive. I've had positives at 11,12,13 and 14 dpo now. But until Monday I just FELT pregnant. Since then, I haven't. And my darkest pee stick was on Tuesday. So I doubt this is a sticky one.

Call has been received. It was positive (no surprise) and the number was a fair bit higher than at this point last time round (107 vs 48). I'm confused cos I don't feel pregnant at all. Just a bit PMT-y and crampy like my period is coming. Gah.

MyNameIsWinkly · 19/12/2013 15:05

euro that's exactly how I felt for the first month of this diffment! Can I do a very cautious twirl of the nipple tassles?

OP posts:
KatAndKit · 19/12/2013 15:05

107 sounds good for 4 weeks! Doesn't guarantee anything of course but i would think it makes a chemical less likely. For what its worth I had few early symptoms this time around. About two days of nausea at 5 ish weeks and a month if tiredness from then on. Nothing right at the start. With the mini kit i felt pregnant very early then nothing from about 5 weeks. So i wouldn't read too much into symptoms.

what happens now? Wait and see? Do you get a repeat blood test or even a six week dildocam? Still have everything crossed that this will be the lucky one for you

CatsCantFlyFast · 19/12/2013 15:30

I didn't feel diffed until the morning sickness hit, until then, nada. I felt less diffed than on cycles where I just imagined I was diffed iyswim.
Did you get them to agree to another test on sat? I could post you a photo of my fivers (in order that I pissed on them) and you wouldn't believe the variances in colour from day to day. I shall continue to grip your toe in a positive manner and not even look at the tassels until you're feeling more confident Wink

eurochick · 19/12/2013 15:36

Thanks for the the reassurance, ladies. The odd thing is, I felt diffed last week (hormonal as hell with boobs like bazookas)! I knew several days before I tested that it would be positive. But for the last 2 days the boobs have been deflating and I just don't feel pregnant any more.

kit they don't normally do another blood test, but I have paid for an extra one on Saturday so I can see what the levels do over 48 hours. And the clinic scans as standard at 6+1 (which is 3 January), although we might push that back a bit as it caused a lot of menkulling last time.

Sorry for being so self-obsessed over the past few days. I'm just finding this so hard.

Fish slaps with the Rainbow Trout of Ridiculousness for apologising euro! This is a major headfuck you're going through.

evilgiraffe · 19/12/2013 16:13

So far so good, euro :)

For what it's worth, I have not felt diffed at all at any point. I've been tired from about 6 weeks, sore boobs between weeks 5 and 9 ish, but have been indulging those feelings somewhat - if I didn't know I was diffed I could probably ignore them rather better.

FrankelInFoal · 19/12/2013 16:57

Good news Euro, I agree with what the others say - I had an inkling of diffment then my symptoms "disappeared" at 7 weeks , coinciding with my bleed, before returning a few weeks later with a vengeance!

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 19/12/2013 18:21

Good news so far, euro! No need for symptoms, and if numbers rise properly by Sat I am getting the enormo boobs out!

We'll be here for your menkulling too, bugs!

I'd go with the consultant's advice, to be honest.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 19/12/2013 20:04

Me too. Prambo is evangelical about this and about blasts, and I often find her less than helpful. I had the scope, no idea if it made a difference, but the top embie only made a cp... Day 3 embies work, selection may work. But i'd consider saving for the next round/nursery!

bugs I agree with drizz. Prammy and I had a number of run ins over blasts. Her comments were less than helpful as a number of people did not have sufficient embryos to go to blast (me because I had chose to go natural and others due to poor response to the drugs/poor fertilisation and so on). She had one DE round (so no stimming, no trigger, no collection, etc) but spoke like she knew everything there is to know about IVF...

I think the embryoscope is interesting largely because it allows the embies to be kept in the incubator and not disturbed, which must be a good thing. We had decided not to do it unless we got a good number of eggs, and 4 was right on our borderline, and we let the clinic talk us into it. It turned out to be pointless as there was only one embie going by day 3, so there was no choice to be made. However, I would choose it again if we did another round (hopefully with more embies). However, for your first round, I think your consultant's advice is sensible. You are young, you've been pregnant. There is no reason to think that IVF without all the bells and whistles won't work for you.

Thanks for all the fish slaps, hags. I needed those.

evilgiraffe · 19/12/2013 21:43

Having looked up embryoscope, it does look fascinating. I would have liked to have seen a time-lapse video of our embies, though it proved unnecessary. I wonder how much disturbing effect inspecting the embryos has, though, as successful non-scope ones are disturbed and do just fine. Perhaps there's more impact simply from having more pictures to judge and rank the embryos by?

It's a good motto, bugs :)

cherrycoconut · 19/12/2013 23:02

Hanging on to the hagfish of hope for you euro. All going in the right direction; nipple tassels are on ice and everything crossed for you. You're doing amazingly, I can't even imagine the menkul headfuckery you must be going through.

Hmmm, now I'm distracted by the fact my work phone knows headfuckery as well as ultracock. What a great legacy of autocorrect dictionary items I'm creating :)

eurochick · 20/12/2013 08:37

Heh. cherry that made me laff.

I'm spotting again this morning and trying not to menkul. What will be, will be.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 20/12/2013 09:40

Sorry euro, holding on to both toes now... Do you remember I spotted for a few days pre-OTD at 16dpO, and many more from5+5 weeks I like the hagfish of hope. Although cherry my poor boobs recoiled in horror at the thought of tassles on ice. Some days I hate my lively imagination.

cherrycoconut · 20/12/2013 13:37

A BESHful of peanut smugglers driz!
Oh euro that's crap - more sticky thoughts for you.
