Come to the BESH funfair - we have a coconut shy, apple bobbing, dodgems and much much more. The prizes? Shiny new BFPs, of course. You can only go on the rides if you're a barren 30plus-er, the entrance fee is one completed BESHtionairre.

IOTO indeed, and even ropey-looking embies can come good - there is still hope! Everything crossed for you both, and a cod for KFZK too; he sounds like he needs it.

Hope all goes well, bugs!

:)

FrankelInFoal · 02/12/2013 14:43

Happy moving day Bugs Grin

Euro, agree with the others - IOTO and all that. I get that it's disappointing after the scan with so many follies, I wasn't on as high a dose of drucks but it was always a bit of an "Oh" moment when they said only 1 was good to go. Quality over quantity and a large bucket of fish tails for you & KFZK.

GingerScouse · 02/12/2013 18:39

Hopefully waiting a day or so more will result in a few more possibles euro I agree with the others, IOTO!

Symptom update: stabby pain in abdomen 8dpo, still a reasonable amount of pant snot, BFN 9dpo but it could still be too early. Menkul, menkul, menkul....

cherrycoconut · 02/12/2013 19:12

Sending fish and gin vibes that EC works out for you euro. I know less than nothing about this, but, if you let the two leaders go could you get a bigger crop come through behind them? Or is as short a time on the drucks as possible the name of the game? :novice:

Fab to see you back bugs, sounds like a brave decision to tackle your anxiety head on. Good luck with the docs and the circus master.

We're back from a few days with family. I so hoped there'd be a letter from the FC waiting for us, but nooo. Still patiently waiting...

Gives :Ginge: a friendly kidney punch on the way out.

eurochick · 02/12/2013 21:22

That could happen cherry. The problem is that the lead follicle is usually the one that would have been naturally selected and therefore the "best". Oh well, I'm not menkulling too much. Just a bit disappointed today.

Interesting ginge. Interesting.

cherrycoconut · 02/12/2013 21:36

That makes perfect sense euro, IOTO and if you can take the strongest one then... Everything crossed. The menkulling of making the right choice though must be really meh.

Morning hags!

Well bugs, if you're awake at 3am then you really need some time off! The house sounds amazing and maybe you can just do some little bits in the next few weeks! How would off til Xmas work and have you settle and call down? Congrats on the successful move!

Euro, my phone ate my post for you yesterday! Sorry your disappointed. I can totally understand. IOTO and I hope they get 4times as much. I just thought you ate my twin here too, I really struggled with strong lead follies on my SO as you might remember. So I was wondering is LP a definite No still? Thinking of you and hoping for a good scan today!

Ginge, have the plaice of patience! 12dpo is plenty early enough!

cherrycoconut · 03/12/2013 08:29

Congrats bugs. Uber exciting, no wonder you can't sleep! I second driz; off till Chritmas sounds like a set and sensible time frame to give you some breathing space and enjoy the excitement of new house etc. but then at least has the goal of a fresh start in Jan when everybody else goes back.

If you can do it, it would be a great opportunity to throw yourself into something positive and productive, focus on you and forget the work circus for a bit.

More good egg thoughts for euro.

eurochick · 03/12/2013 12:01

Congrats on the move bugs. The house sounds amazing.

I don't know what to advise re: time off work. I'm one of those people who finds it easiest to keep buggering on, whatever lift throws at me. Any distraction is a good thing for me, event the work kind. But that's just my personality and I know that approach doesn't work for everyone.

drizz I think if we go for the one last cycle with all the bells and whistles at the new clinic, we might chance LP, although I did say "never again". It turned me into a wreck.

Thanks for all the thoughts, hags. I had a third scan this morning. The two big follies are still going strong and two more have raised their game to hit 18mm. There is still a big chasing pack that won't make it, but we will most likely end up with 4. Not dreadful, but a bit disappointing after all the injecting and the promising first scan. I was reading on t'internet yesterday and it seems I am not alone in having this experience on the antagonist protocol. Which is why I might consider LP if we need to have another round. Ugh.

MyNameIsWinkly · 03/12/2013 12:41

Ugh indeed euro, but maybe it won't come to it? Keeping everything crossed that these follies do the trick. We're going to Berlin for a few days on Thursday so won't be able to cheerlead aeound ec time, but I will be thinking about you.

bugs I can't believe you're in the new house, it seems like 2 minutes ago you hit that stumbling block. It sounds brilliant! As for taking time off, I don't see how it can do any harm. Worst case scenario, you get fed up and go back, best case, you feel refreshed and stronger.

coco hope the letter comes soon. Bloody admin is the worst.

I'm watching Market Kitchen. Is it just me that finds kirstie allsopp insufferably smug? She makes me want to put things through my tv.

bugs I'm glad the GP was lovely and I think its great that you're taking care of yourself properly. You can unpack and look forward to Christmas and focus on getting yourself rested and relaxed and in a really good place for your ivf cycle. Well done. Have a Gurnard of Good Decisions.

My MIL had a hysterectomy a couple of weeks ago following a diagnosis of endometrial cancer. Now she's been told its aggressive and she'll need months of chemo and radiotherapy. FIL's dementia is getting noticeably worse too. Shite.

Oh poo, Wink. How awful. And yes, Kirsty Allsop is smug smug smuggity smug.

Bugs that sounds like the right decision for you. How wonderful to have no work until Feb! You'll have lots of time to settle into the new house and have a nice relaxed Xmas. :)

FizzyFeet · 03/12/2013 18:35

So sorry to hear that, winks. Will you be seeing them over Xmas?

Bugs well done for making that decision. I'm sure it will help get you in a better place mentally and give ivf the best shot at working.

Euro I have my pompoms out and am cheering on your follies. I know how disappointed you must feel - I was the same after that awful scan with the cyst and just one antral follie. I felt crushed. But as you said to me at the time, it's to early to write them off! My scan before EC showed 5 follies and in the end they got 7 eggs, so it's perfectly possible to have a late growth spurt. fingers crossed that will happen in your case.

MyNameIsWinkly · 03/12/2013 18:53

Fanks hags.

fizz they're only 20 minutes away so we see them a fair bit, but we were meant to be flying to my parents together for the first time ever, 24th - 27th. If he decides he wants to stay with them, that would be fair enough although I would probably still go see my family.

OP posts:
cherrycoconut · 03/12/2013 20:36

Nice progress Bugs, what a productive day you had Smile. Winks I lurve the Gurnard of Good Decisions, I want one! Sorry to hear your shite news though. I offer you the sturgeon of stoicism mate and plenty of gin. Very sad.

Heartening egg chat fizz, still hoping for a late surge for you euro and cheering the beauties on.

No letter, did I mention no letter. Humph.

eurochick · 03/12/2013 20:49

Harrumph cherry.

Thanks for all the cheerleading and good wishes. Trigger shot is done so all we can do now is wait. In the last couple of hours my boobs have started hurting , which they only normally do after ov, so of course I am menkulling that I have popped one already. Confused

cherrycoconut · 03/12/2013 20:59

You need a zander of zen euro, hoping all is good and that symptom spotting will come to nought.

evilgiraffe · 03/12/2013 21:02

Fingers crossed, euro.

That is utterly shit, winks :( Best of luck to your MIL with all the treatment.

Excellent news, bugs - so nice to hear your GP is so positive and in your corner about the anxiety and the IVF! Enjoy the time off, and here's hoping it works :)

FrankelInFoal · 03/12/2013 21:12

Glad you saw a supportive GP Bugs, sounds like she is right on message.

Euro keeping everything crossed for you.

Cherry, how is your sister doing? And how are you in general?

FizzyFeet · 03/12/2013 21:14

No menkulling, euro!

Cherry here's a slap with the salmon of sympathy. The waiting is the very worst bit. Would it do any good to phone them up and rage enquire politely?

AFM I am struggling a bit with the waiting. And having horrible night sweats - anyone else get this? Droid is here at least, so we are a bit nearer to next cycle. And I have found out from Dr Google that I need to get off my arse and do some exercise to improve my uterine lining I'm a real lazybones!

Thanks for asking Frankel we're trundling on - sis seems quite stable in a poorly, very weak, sleeping kind of way. I'm worried about my poor Granny too, who at 90 odd is still not very good after a fall a few weeks ago. But life goes on and it was good to spend some time with them this weekend.

Fiz I hear you on the night sweats. :shudder: terrible things. Back at ya on the salmon of sympathy for that. Did I say I love HRT?! Sage tea is meant to help as is a low GI diet and making sure you have enough magnesium and Vit D in your diet. Now go to it with the movin le arse

Right, I think a polite enquiry might just save my sanity
