After 18 months of trying I may be pregnant! But I'm at bit confused. I have had 2 positive tests and 3 negative.

I did a net cheapie yesterday morning and got a faint positive. However I stuffed it up by dipping it below the max line. So discounted it.

At lunch time I broke and bought a digital test and 2 tescos tests.

Did 2 more cheapies. 1 faint pos 1 neg. But the tests were two different brands.

I broke and did the CB Digital was not pregnant!

Another cheapie today with FMU was neg. But I h a ve run out of the cheapies that gave me 2 positives.

I am now confused and trying not to be too hopeful. I need you wisdom am I pregnant or not?

Hello
I didn't want to read and run. I haven't got a positive test yet, Anne I'm sure someone with better knowledge will be along shortly.

In the mean time....

cb digital has a fairly high threshold (50 I think) but internet cheapest are usually much lower (10).

can you try a first response or a superdrug own brand to test tomorrow with fmu? these are lower (25) and I guess you feel more confident with their results too (rather than ic which might be wrong)

FX for you! Smile

Hey echo, did you try again this morning?? A day on might get you a better result.

wrighty2010 · 13/10/2013 16:55

Hope you are ok. Did you test again this morning? xxx

EchoDragon · 13/10/2013 21:12

Ahhhh I'm going mad. I tried Saturday twice still bfn. Thats 6 tests 2 pos 4 neg.

The real trouble is I have no idea when my last period was. Except in the first 2 weeks of September. Which isn't exactly helpful!

I got a bit obsessed with POAS so stopped keeping such a close track of it.

I will upload my positives see what you ladies think.

echo if you had positives and now negatives, you probably had a chemical pregnancy?

SoonToBeSix · 13/10/2013 21:46

Are you sure the cheapies weren't evaporation lines?

EchoDragon · 13/10/2013 21:54

I don't know. The lines were definitely pink. Well within the test time. Both came up within a minute or two.

TBH I'm just waiting for the wicked witch to come crashmy party! Angry

I'm sorry OP Flowers

It definitely sounds like you are lateish with your period. Why don't you say to yourself you'll wait till such a day, like Weds, and if AF isn't here then test again with first response, first thing in the morning?

Do come back and update - rooting for you!!

RaRa1988 · 13/10/2013 22:14

Hi OP. It sounds a bit like you've had a chemical pregnancy Sad - but presumably AF hasn't arrived yet? ...so there's hope. You've used different brands and they have different sensitivities for HCG. Do you know the sensitivities of your ICs? They're usually 10 I think. Clear Blue Digital is 25. I'd say if an IC with FMU is negative, you've most likely had a chemical I'm afraid.

EchoDragon · 13/10/2013 22:16

No AF is a no show. Yet! She never shows up when you want her...

AF arrived today. Ho hum. There's always next month!

RaRa1988 · 15/10/2013 12:10

Sorry to hear that Sad. Try and take the positive from it though - you can conceive, so there's no reason you won't again. Best of luck.
