Thanks RyansGoslingsKnob! Love the new name - very funny!! I'll be honest, I have a feeling it's going to be a BFN tomorrow but we'll see.

Really interesting that your DH similarly had great results from healthy-eating. It's utterly brilliant, isn't it?!

I'm very disappointed that my DP seems to have reverted straight back to his old ways now. What does he think, that his crappy diet only affects his sperm and doesn't affect the rest of his body and his long term health?! Grrr.

Thanks frosticle and ryansknob lol. Just told my oh about your posts and he got annoyed saying I come up with something new every week! He has already stopped drinking and smoking, has on average one cup of coffee a day (usually less, as recommended by my acupuncture lady) and he's on the q10, zinc and vit c as recommended by ryansknob.

Think I'm going to have to be a bit more sneaky about it! He does eat mainly healthily (tonight's dinner is chicken, boiled spuds and cabbage) but we can always do better can't we?

twinkle I stuck a piece of paper on the on the fridge and logged how many portions of fruit and veg each of us ate each day. I told DP it was to encourage DD to eat at least 5-a-day and I told DD it was to encourage DP! Grin They're both pretty competitive so it worked very well! Helped me to eat more veg too. Need to resurrect it now tho .....

I've had my test result today - BFN. Big sigh.

Fortunately, we have the embies in the deep-freeze ...... onwards and upwards ...

Thanks for the sympathy Pocket, twinkle, lucky and Vallina. It's a frustrating game, isn't it?! Clinic said there was no obvious reason why it didn't work as everything was looking good. Hey-ho. I'm focusing on the FET now, no point dwelling on a failed attempt.

Vallina - how's it looking now, honey? What is the scan looking for at this stage - developing eggs? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Hope you're all doing ok? Xx

Hello Pocket1, Lucky and other ladies?
Sorry ive not been here for a while. just want to noin in and wish everyone good luck.
An update on me, a while back i wS preparing for FET. i had ET on 5th Nov (2 blasts). OTD today and its a another BFN (x2 DEIVF bfn). this FET we did everything : immune treatment, acupuncture and implantation cuts. i did developed a sore throat and a nasty cough the afyernoon after ET (not sure it was immune reactionor a cold). It was the only thing i could think of as the cause of bfn. The other factor could be underlying sperm dna abnormality. It looks like the end for us using dh sperm. he is not keen on donor sperm. im still keen on DD. in a big dilemma at the moment.

Good morning mui - good to hear from you although sorry under not so great circumstances again. I know how frustrating and upsetting it is when you've ticked all the boxes and its still a BFN! :-(

Just some advice which we've been given. We've always been in the belief we have a sperm factor dif. With mild immune difs. On my part. However we have sed donor sperm for IUI and donor sperm for one ICSI round where's we used half donor and half my hubby's. we found to much suprise that the donor embryos didn't develop well at all and we ended up having my hubby's embryos put back.

Since that failed - the consultants are really emphasising how much the egg is the key to getting your BFP and the sperm whilst of course impt. Is not that key. My consultant has recently advised that we should actually try my hubby's sperm with donor eggs. This is quite something as we have really been led to discount his sperm! im obly 35 and really positive no. of follicles, excellent lining etc. But I have to say the further I go down this journey most women who seem to get those BFP is with donor eggs! So just some thoughts to share really. No decision is easy is it!

AFM - as suspected negative result yesterday - even treated myself to a blood test in case it spotted a chemical pregnancy - but not even that! So we are now on the Genet waiting list in Czech which will give us a few months off :-) hoping for a natural miracle as I still believe this could happen. Almost feeled spared from the donor route as it stands. But in the new year we will make our call re what cycle to run with. :-)

Waves to all - hope you have a lovely weekend xx

Mui so sorry Hmm. Take some time to work out what you will do next. And I really hope it works out for you x

Dear Lucky, gutted doesn't even cover it. I'm so sorry hon. Donor egg with DH's sperm is an interesting option for you and given you've tried so many other things and seen so many drs, I'm surprised nobody has suggested it before. Will you go for it? As you know, that's what we did - and it worked. DD is currently snuggled beside me on the sofa. Please God this will be you soon honey xxx

One last comment on donor eggs. We may have had donor egg (and I will be forever thankful for the angel who helped us), but this beautiful cheeky little girl is mine mine mine. Many people even say she looks like me too... Everyone is different, it's not an easy decision and not for everyone. But if its an option, do give it thought... SmileSmileSmile

Waves to everyone else x

hi Lucky, Pocket - thank you both for sharing I've learnt something new about sperm. Now I don't feel so bad. I gave it a best shot for the FET cycle. I even took 2 weeks off work and so forth.

I'm waiting for AF to start and back on the HRT. At the beginning of next year I shall go down the DD route in Greece. Just a thought the Birthing company in harley street charges £70.00 per lining scan. The Ali chemist in london - IVF drugs are cheaper than the clinics.

Hi to other ladies
Take care

Mui would be interested to hear about your double donor plan in Greece - what are the prices? Success rates? Waiting times? Matching processes like? Would you pm me if not on here.

We've decided against Reprogenisis in Prague as their results has really gone down hill since pram queens. We are on the waiting list for Genet in Prague but this could be up to 6 months (hopefully much shorter) as they are linked to City Fertilty where we've had the IUIs.

Pocket so lovely to hear from you honey. I hope bambino is doing well - it feels like the time has whizzes passed for you being a new mummy :-) I completely hear you re the donor eggs and I have great comfort in you sharing this as I know when baby arrives there will be no other feeling. It's the decision making time that is hard and when you have no reason or closure it feels even harder! But I'm enjoying some non IVF ing time and I do still believe that natural mirracles can happen.

How is everyone else doing. I so wish we knew how Sunny is doing and her precious twins.

Anyone else lurking who wants to say hello xx

Hi Lucky
just a quick note. I PM you of the donor route in more detail, earlier.
Donor eggs about 5-6 K (euro), sperm about 300.00 (euro). This include everything except medications for your lining. Matching process requires photos of you and DH and any requests. The time frame can be very quick- a matter of a few weeks.
Hello you other ladies.

Hello Ladies!

Sorry I have been absent for so long, and really sorry for the recent run of BFN's for some of you. However, you all sound like you have a positive plan, and I wish you all the very best of luck with all your upcoming journeys.

AFM, I am now almost 33 weeks gone, so my due date is creeping up on me. I am feeling huge, breathless and tired, but really excited to meet the little one. I wish the same for you all! Smile

Happy Christmas to you all, and I hope the conversation flows again in the New Year, and we can keep up with each other's news.
