Morning everyone!

I thought it was about time I jumped on the bus, given that I've been lurking for a while now (picking up all sorts of useful information that I wouldn't have known otherwise).

We're ttc #1, cycle #2, BFP/AF due at the end of the month. This is cycle #3 after coming off the pill, and so far my cycles have been 26 days and 31 days, which doesn't make it very easy working out the dates! Just trying to dtd every other day for now, which DH has been loving!

Hi jbiscuits! I am also TTC#1 on cycle#3!! Due end of the month too. Sounds like a good plan with dtd, I am trying the every other day thing too but only for a week or so!! Started temping this month, just would like to know that I am ovulating!!

Mama you're a couple of days behind me as I have a looong 2.5 ww.

Dp will be home too late tonight so hopefully dtd last night and the day before is enough, won't be doing the 3 days in a row :( we will try and get back into the every other day routine from tomorrow.

oh no, cystitis yuk, so painful!! Feel for you! I've thankfully not had it since 1999 (was in Thailand with now dh and I remember it well!!)

But, my whooooooole labour felt like cystitis!

A friend suffers badly from Cystitis. She knows when it's coming and doesn't bother going to docs anymore. She buys the antibiotics from doctorfox.co.uk (online pharmacy) and keeps them in the cupboard ready to take from the onset. More expensive than going to docs I think, but if your docs are anything like ours it takes days to even get an appointment.
Cranberry juice too...but I think antibiotics are the only thing that kick it in the teeth.

Fluffy I'm cd10 but have short cycles so I seem to just go round and round in circles: af-dtd-2ww-af-depressed-dtd etc etc

I'm not expecting ovulation until cd13 but seem to have ewcm today (a lot)....confused, must do opk at lunchtime to see what the score is.... :/

mama31 - this cycle I had the most amount of cm on the tues, but I didn't ovulate until 2 days later....(know by temp spike on FF)

Yep, I was ill in bed and DH was not in the mood to have sex with a sick person.....we didn't manage to dtd until weds night and then I O'd on the thurs. I'm praying one of the buggers managed to swim up there in time.
BTW - I also had ewcm for around 3 days after O.
It differs every month but I always do get that surge of ewcm.
Fingers x that this one is a good O for you!!!

Thanks for all the welcomes! I've considered temping and OPKs but am trying unsuccessfully to stay as relaxed as possible and think that would pile on the pressure even more than I'm already feeling!

Totally agree jbiscuits. Unless you are absolutely desperate to pin point when you O, I'd just be as relaxed as possible. Almost wish I didn't know half the stuff I now know. Some times too much information on something that appears to be a great deal of luck is bad....

I think my numbers are back to front on the list! Ttc #2 cycle#1
Period due (I think!) next thurs so earliest I can test apart from daily use of Internet cheapies is sat/sun.
Feel terribly sick today. Had some nausea last night but feel on edge of vomitting this morning. Maybe I'm getting a bug? So tired so going for a nap while dd sleeps Grin

Hmmm...ok so I'm home for lunch and did an opk (with very diluted pee as I've drank a lot of tea today) and the control line is as strong as the test line :/ looks like the EWCM was right on cue!! Now that has messed up my very regimented "sex plan". Need some advice ladies (I already dtd yesterday), so do I:

A) Carry on with sex plan and don't dtd tonight but dtd Thurs, sat, sun, mon?
B) Dtd tonight, Fri, sat, sun?
C) Dtd every day from now til sun
D) Other???????

I'm so confused about what to do for the best as I think we overdid it last month and ran out of good quality sperm....please let me know your thoughts?? Much appreciated as always :)

Mama, I'd dtd tonight, tomorrow and Friday, then Sunday if you've got a positive today. Failing that, as you've already dtd last night, I'd do tomorrow til Saturday, then Monday.

I'm very conscious that we may have reduced our chances last month by dtd too often so was trying not to do that again. Tomorrow morning is a possibility, its not ideal but could happen if we plan it....or tomorrow lunch time could def be a goer! I can come home for lunch and get jiggy for sure!!

I think I'm gona be brave and try a different approach to last month, and hold off til tomorrow lunch time but I will do another opk tonight to see what its like...I may change my mind :/

Also wondering if ovulating this early means another shorter cycle/LP....perhaps I might think about increasing b6 from 25mg to 50mg from tomorrow!!! Why oh why is it all so complicated and such guesswork!!!

Mama, I'm not due bfp til 31st and not due to even start plan til Sunday withOV due Wednesday BUT I'm starting opks Friday in case.

Allthat, I wish I could unknow everything too but now we know we can't go back which is frustrating! DH also wishes he didn't know.

SMEP is soooo hard and I'm glad everyone on here agrees. Makes me feel better.

Mama, on that basis, I'm not sure what dtd you should do cause ov can be 12 hours - 36hours after pos opk and then egg lives for 24hours! I haven't a clue. I would recommend getting digi opks as it gives a pos on MORE LH And so a pos on that means more than pos on IC. I use IC til I get a matching line then go to digi for a smiley(I thought you did that too from last month but not sure). This month I'm going to ease up on the everyday as DH hasn't had any trouble so far but we could be going that way... Then again...

Notta, did I pick up that your DH isn't thrilled with the three times a week approach? It can be really hard for them. Maybe do other 'stuff' every other time that is less work for him; I think this will get him in the mood to do more at key times. I think the more they get the more they want; it's just getting the kick start. Sorry if I picked you up wrong or if you weren't really looking for comment.
