Normally regular cycle suddenly all over the place

I have always had really boringly predictable periods - 29 day cycle with only a day of variation either way. Now they have gone all over the place and I don't know why. Here's the cycle length for the past few months:

April 31 days
May 29 days
June 34 days
July 26 days
August 37 days
September 25 days

I'm currently on day 32 with nothing yet so not sure what this cycle will be.

Is this normal to go from really predictable to all over the place? Some info which may or may not be helpful - I'm 28, no children and never been pregnant yet, been off contraception for around 2 years now. Underactive thyroid but recent tests came back fine and I've been treated for it all my life so it is fairly stable.

My cycles going funny coincided perfectly with deciding to TTC #1 so I feel like now my brain is finally ready, my body has gone NO, not right now :(

Would think your thyroid gland is not working quite as it should be. It needs further investigation.

This is a good non woo website re the thyroid gland and its associated problems:-

Also have you been ill during the longer cycles? Your body will delay ovulation if it deems your body to be unwell to cope with pregnancy. It happened to me in July when I had stomach flu and my cycle length jumped to 37 days.

Do you know what your last TSH level was? Ideally it would be low, some say under 2 others say under 1.

Or perhaps you're getting stressed with conceiving, which is delaying your ovulation? Not helpful, I know.

Thanks for all your responses.

Haven't been ill. I did move house in May but I haven't felt stressed about it really, more relaxed as I left the chaos of London! But I suppose while it has still been a change of routine and circumstance.

Not really sure what my last TSH was, Dr just said normal range. I only normally ask for specifics if I've been feeling a bit off. Last test was in June so hadn't had too many erratic cycles. I will call them on Monday though and try to find out exact details.
