Hi all.

I had a missed miscarriage and underwent an erpc on the 4th of september. Last Sunday the 29th of Sept I finally got a bfn (never so happy to see one). Question is when do i count for my cycle. i can't count from erpc as there was hcg in my system up until last weekend. it was 156 at one stage last week. How long after negative test will i ovulate. I am 41 and time is not on my side. I have 2 dds and this was my first miscarriage.

Any advice or experience gratefullly received and appreicated?

Hi boo. Sorry I don't have an answers but am in a similar position. ERPC on 11th Sept, BFN today. I might have had some signs of ovulation last week but I am not really very good at detecting and not really sure it is possible if I still enough HCG for a BFP? I guess this is why they suggest waiting for AF before TTC. I already have DD and am 39 so keen to get try ASAP. I did have a previous MC prior to conceiving DD, but I have managed to forget most of what happened then. I did get my BFP around 2 months after my first ERPC, so fingers crossed for a similar story this time. Fingers crossed for you to.

Sorry to hear your news OP. Tricky one. When did you get the negative test and were you testing daily up till then? If so, I'd be inclined to use the first day of negative test as CD1 - but bear in mind that you might get a period before you ovulate this time, your cycle might be very long, or it might take you a while to regulate again. I'd keep check on your CM and temp to help with this.

Sorry to hear your news Boo and Holly. I am in a similar position but had a natural miscarriage and HSG was already down to single figures when I started bleeding. So I guess if you had an ERPC taking day 1 as the first negative test sounds sensible.

I expected to ovulate late (usually CD 14-16) and got a positive OPK on day 17. I temp but they have been less predictable than normal, but it looks like I probably ovulated on day 17 too. I would recommend OPKs as if I had relied on my usual timing it would have made us BD too early.
