A lovely new Fred for us This one will be full of fun and BFP's....well, it better be!!

it was all a bit improvised with the help of google, talulah but here goes:
half an onion, teaspoon of tumeric, teaspoon of cumin seeds, bit less than a teaspoon of cayenne pepper, a couple of clove (is that a word? it looks funny!) and a bit of coriander - blend all these in a blender to make a smoothish paste.
Then fry some chicken and seal it, add your paste and cook slowly. I also added a bit of sweet potato soup which I had leftover. Then I added a courgette for colour. I also added in a bit of curry flavoured salt flakes.
ENJOY! We did and I was a bit gutted there was none leftover for dinner one day this week

Evening mentallers. Well did my first menopur and centrotide this morning. Must have blunted the menopur needle as it took a lot of stabbing! Both pretty sore afterwards

Scan tomorrow.

Cups I am a bit at your consultant. Sure a positive PG test means a pregnancy and no more baby means a miscarriage would have probably lamped her What is your treatment plan going forward, not sure I understand the 'don't have unprotected sex' comment.

Well done on the first stab Val ouch to blunt needle though! The plan for me is to call up when AF arrives to request treatment. My clinic are a bit militant about you having unprotected sex during any treatment. You get asked about it a lot. If I don't get to start in the next few weeks I'm next due AF on Christmas Day so I'm to leave a message with the clinic and they will call me a few days later to say if I can start.

Thanks for being mad at the consultant on my behalf everyone. Would you believe me if I said she was the nicest doctor we've seen so far?! I thought it was a bit insensitive but I know most fertility doctors don't class it as a pregnancy unless it's confirmed on scan so I wasn't surprised by her attitude.

Brooker that's sounds amazing! I spent the afternoon making some chutneys. 2 batches done, the house smells delicious.

Talulah I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the barely there line turns into a juicy line soon.

val I told my clinic about the 'blunt' needles I was given for the DR SLF. Compared to the gonal-f needles they were like knitting needles! Good luck with the scan tomorrow.

I meant to ask has anyone got any tips for improving egg quality? The only thing I've really heard of is dhea but I don't really want to try that.

Ha! cups you wouldn't want to eat what I made but I order a mean curry! I switched from SP to LP this time. Other way round I know but SP is a breeze in comparison. Didn't have the headaches, night sweats, emotional meltdowns at all on SP. Can't help on the egg quality I'm afraid but I'm sure someone will be along soon x

Brooker I missed your bath question. I avoided baths as I have to have the water really hot so I didn't think it was a good idea. I don't know if it's a no or not tbh. Sorry that's not much help.

I hated down regging last time as I was a miserable fucker so I guess that's something to be happy about

cups. I've searched a lot on th'interwebby thing, about improving egg quality (as mine is poor). The only thing I could find with any credibility was DHEA as u say. I'm actually taking them (3 tablets of 75g a day) in case I'm not successful this time so I'm ready for next time. Apparently u need to take them for 3 months approx to influence the eggs as they are growing x

Tested again - my ghost of a line has developed into something stronger today although when I woke up feeling sick I knew.
As we know though, BFPs don't always equal pregnancies. So I am still just as stressed.

Rabbit, here's my full sorry history:
IVF1 BFN (4 eggs, 4 fertilised 2 transferred)
IVF2 Chem Preg @ 5 weeks(8 eggs, 5 fertilised, 2 transferred 2 frozen)
FET BFN
IVF3 Chem Preg (3 eggs, 2 fertilised)
Moved onto donor eggs as I always had high FSH, low AMH and was poor responder.
IVF4 - BFP, ruptured ectopic
FET BFP today...

Rabbit with my 3rd IVF they got 3 eggs from 1 big and 1 small follicle. Will be thinking of you @ 11

Nice curry recipe Nobeer! I don't have my recipe books here at my mums so will have to get my DH to send me his standard Thai stir fry paste - it's lush. We have a mini blender for pastes - we're so posh!

Baths were a no-no for me I'm afraid but I also didn't get the unprotected sex stuff as I was on LP both times i did ivf so on the pill first and then you can't get pregnant without an ovulated egg in your womb so I don't see how it's possible to have a surprise? Confused....

Dad came home yesterday :) my sis and I are going to take it in turns to sleep on the chair next to him at night to make sure everything is ok with him. My turn tonight - eek. I'm such a deep sleeper :/

Urgh, so still some growing to do. EC set for Monday. I have a feeling that they would rather do it on Sunday but becuase they just don't do them on a Sunday they won't. I hope it doesn't effect quality....

I hate baths. I also dyed (highlighted) my hair throughout IVF/PG.

OMG talu - my fingers are crossed for you - how exciting!

Brooker - i'm not planning on POAS until Monday morning (my OTD). that's because i'm going to my partner's parents for the weekend and don't want to be blubbering away all the time if it's a negative. I want to be able to enjoy the weekend and still to have the possibility in my mind that i might be pregnant for as long as possible.
How are you coping - have you tested yet? Or are you waiting for Friday? x

Thank you all for your wishes for the scan. All is well in the fish insides for now .

I didn't realise how scared I was until the consultant said all can go ahead and relief just flooded over me.

So, ET Friday. Lining currently 14.6mm. I'm feeling very scared again as regardless of the result I know it will not be easy for us. We have been through so much over the past 18 months and I am really not sure how much more upset either of us can take.
I know most of you feel the same.
