I have been using the cbfm for a few months, fell pregnant in July but MC the pregnancy in August.
I am on cd 11 atm and have been feeding it sticks since cd 9 BUT I discovered this morning that I have run out of sticks. Brought monitor with me to work and an headed off to boots atm to buy some. I usually test at 7:15 am....am I too late? also it wont be fmu bur second,is this okay?

I have strange cycles anywhere from 29-40 days, just whenever my body feels like. I dont want to miss ovulation because I have missed a test stick!

Sorry to hear about your MC.

Have you had a "high" reading yet? I forgot to POAS on CD9 and didn't want to waste a stick with non FMU, so I just skipped that day. Based on last month I think I would have had my first high that day, which was right as I had 3 more highs subsequently and a peak today.

You have three hours on either side of the time you first set it... so if you set Day 1 at 7.15, you have until 10.15 to test... but it won't matter if you miss one day. If you're really worried you might miss it, pee on the stick anyway and just look at the lines after 5 mins - if both lines are equally dark, then that's your peak.

i managed to get some and of course the one i used was faulty, the blue dye did not run accross the whole window and there def was enough wee as I had been holding for a while. I think I wont get a high until sunday, possibly later as my cycle tends to be longer. The month I managed to catch the egg I got a peak on cd 25!

wanted at add i put the stick in anyways because I wasnt sure if no stick on one day would mess up the monitor.

The instructions say its ok to miss a day, and if you don't think it's your peak day I'm sure it will be fine.

Don't worry just do a new stick tomorrow morning. Have you seen the GP about your irregular periods? Normally they should not vary that much.

MissMooMoo · 20/09/2013 15:12

I came off bc in the spring after 10 years of constant bc,my gp says that it may take a few cycles for them to become regular.

Ah I didn't know that. In that case, it will hopefully become regular soon. I also stopped the pill in April, and I have only had two cycles since. GP says it can take 6-12 months to become regular.
