Hi. I'm not really sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes. So, i'm 38, after a year of trying to conceive with no success and having irregular periods i went to my doctor. i explained i was feeling fed up about not getting pregnant and also told him about a few other problems, occasional hot flashes and vaginal dryness. He said i was likely in perimenopause, which i think is a bit young as i'm under 40 years. Anyway, 3 weeks ago he put me on HRT. It does seem to have helped with the dryness problem. The type of HRT i have causes a withdrawl-type bleed near the end of the packet. I have about 3 pills left and last night, what i think might be a period started up. It's not red blood though, just a brown sticky discharge and i have a mild period-type cramping. For the past 18 months my periods have been irregular but iv'e always had red blood even though the bleeding has got lighter. Was wondering if maybe the HRT has caused me to ovulate and could the brown discharge mean that i'm pregnant and its implantation bleeding. I had this similar discharge some years ago when i was in early pregnancy with my daughter. I know the obvious thing would be to take a pregnancy test. Or is it just a very light period caused by the HRT. I so want to be pregnant so maybe its wishful thinking that its a n implantation bleed!! Has anyone conceived while on HRT and had similar bleeding to mine ? Thanks
