Cerazette and TTC

Hiya, just wondered about TTC after being on Cerazette mini pill.
I've seen lots of horror stories about both being on it, and coming off it.

My experience whilst on it (5 years) has been amazing. I have always had really irregular, very heavy periods (resulting in blood transfusions at times) and Cerazette stopped them completely with no side effects.
I came off it for a few months about 2 years ago when TTC, then changed our minds and went back on it. I had no side effects at all coming off it then.

Now we are trying for baby no3. I've been off it for two-three weeks. For the last 4 days or so I have had severe nausea (actually being sick), metallic taste in mouth, dizziness, bloating, cramping and headaches. I've read that coming off Cerazette can cause these 'fake' pregnancy symptoms. Does anyone know how long it lasts for??
It's too early to test for real pregnancy (plus would mean I conceived straight after coming off the pill) and also I feel that even if I was pregnant, I wouldn't have symptoms so soon? At least I didn't have with my other two!

I came off cerazette and didn't really have any symptoms - sorry cant help more on that front. Just popped in to say that I had metallic taste in mouth, 'period' pain and dizziness about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks after DTD when I was pregnant (I know exactly as was drunken lack of condom usage )

I had exactly the same thing coming off cerazette!! I came off it a few months before my wedding last year (partly because wedding planning and work was so manic I couldn't make it to the docs for a prescription!) - needless to say, this was NOT the time I wanted to become pregnant so experiencing all those symptoms (vomming in the morning, metallic taste in mouth, feeling dizzy) had me absolutely terrified - esp as we'd been so careful, I had no idea how it could have been possible.

Anyway, turns out I wasn't preggo, it was just the effecgts of cerazette coming out of my system (I'd ben on it 10 years)... I'd say the symptoms probably lasted a couple of months but I was only sick a few times in the beginning and the symptoms wore off a lot towards the end.

When we did start TTC and I became pregnant, my symptoms were exactly the same! xx

Well, looks like it could be either the Cerazette coming out of my system, or else we have been extremely lucky and conceived straight away - either way I won't know for a week or so until I can test. Going to be a long wait!
