Any crazy plans to tell OH?

Just a light hearted post.

I just wondered whether anyone has, or plans to, tell their OH they're pregnant in a crazy/overexcited/American style manner?

Ha ha! I can't keep secrets to save my life so I know I would just burst into tears and tell him as soon as.

I was just thinking. If I test on a morning, then I have three options:

• call him (Id prefer to do it face to face)
• in the car when I pick him up from train (not ideal)
• in the kitchen when we get home (but that'd mean me keeping my mouth shut for the 8minute drive home! )

Glad Im worrying about the important stuff and not the fact AF is bound to arrive any minute

Hopefully I can tell mine on his birthday :)

I get up early for work so would probably wake him up to tell him before I left home. However, if I did the test when I got home from work I would have to wait a few hours to tell him and it would be horrible because I would want to tell my mum so badly but would obviously wanna tell dh first.

This post made me smile as I've actually spent years (2 1/4 years) fantasing about this. One example fantasy was me telling Dh as we walked along the beach on holiday at sunset.

In actual fact (this happened this week , I did 2 tests with 2 very faint lines so I kicked him out of bed and made him drive to asda at 7.00am to but a first response and a digi. After 4 tests we just kinda stood there in disbelief lol. We're still in a bit of a daze actually lol

I can imagine that scenario!

I only started the thread as I was on Pinterest (my favourite guilty pleasure!) and some people go to HUGE lengths to inform their DP. Photos set up, presents wrapped, videos recorded. Crazy, crazy Americans! Who has the time (or patience?)! I can't keep a secret for a couple of hours, let alone a few days!

I sent mine a picture of the positive test at work.

You don't want to know the reply!! ;)

I got my positive in the morning (valentines day which is also my DH birthday) I waited until our evening meal and stuck the positive test in a big card saying "I'm pregnant"..... He cried!!!

Ahhhh..talk about meant to be. The ages aligned!

Americans are crazy.

I POASd when dh was still sleeping. His eyes opened when I came back to bedroom. Not because of me. Tommy, our spaniel was jumping on him. Told him..honey, I am pregnant. He said...no bloody way! Took a lok at the sticks and said...yes!! My sperms work!!

More terrified and dazed than anything else really. Hasn't sunk in yet.

If everything goes well this month, then hopefully I can test Monday, where it is my BF birthday and then give the news at his birthday dinner out later that day :) Fingers crossed for a positive one this month....

Hah, coffee, I assume that will be my H's response if we ever fall pregnant!

I was really worrying about this but it happened on Thursday. We were on hol in a cottage in Wales and I did a t
poas on weds and we weren't sure if there was a line or not. We got a digital test and planned to do it Thurs morning. I left the test with him while waiting and I made us a cuppa. He shouted through to the kitchen 'Claire...I think you're pregnant! '.

So in a bit of role reversal, he told me. Think I was too nervous to look at it anyway!
