getting pregnant after cerazette

I am on cerazette (my fifth packet) but we will be TTC come February 2014.

I'm planning on coming off the pill in the New Year. How long did it take everyone to conceive after cerazette? At the moment, I don't actually have periods, which oddly enough I actually hate as periods is a way of telling me that everything is well!!!

I'm a teacher and wanting to plan to the best of our ability when baby is born, although, we know they come when they come!

No harm in a little forward planning is there?

Hi I was on cerazette before ttc #1 and I fell pregnant in the first cycle (4 days after taking my last pill!) I didn't get any periods while taking the pill either so mistook pregnancy symptoms as being due my first period

We're currently ttc #2 and I've had two cycles so far and think we may have done it this time as having same symptoms that I had when pregnant before.

We managed it two cycles after coming off, but a friend on the same took 8 months so it's hard to predict! (Definitely no harm in attempting planning though - if only it were more reliable...)

I came off it for 4- 6 months before trying so I knew my cycle and could be sure if dates - then pregnant second cycle.

It took about 8 weeks after coming off to have a period, but then I got pregnant straight away after the first one. Good luck !

3 weeks. Had my withdrawal.bleed more or less straight away, then got pregnant first cycle. Good luck

I got pregnant straight after stopping it. I still had periods whilst on it and a bit of spotting in between. All the best!

I conceived six weeks after stopping cerazette. Wasn't expecting it to be so quick!

Ooh just came across this thread after starting a separate one about TTC after Cerazette. I have no idea what's going on, when to test etc. Been off this pill coming up for 3 weeks but had every pregnancy symptom going for the last 4-5 days. No withdrawal bleed, no periods whilst on it so no idea of cycle.
Arghh! Don't know if I'm pregnant or if it's fake symptoms that I've read are common when stopping this pill. Done a couple of first response tests, both negative.
I'm a crazed woman right now :0)

I had my first period 6 weeks after stopping cerazette, I then had 2 further periods and fell pregnant in the 3rd month... Now 9 weeks pregnant and feeling just dreadful (but also joyful!!)

Hi LH, in those 6 weeks before getting my first period after cerazette I would have bet my house that I was pregnant.... I had every symptom listed, however, I then got my period and therefore knew it was just freaky fake symptoms! I hope you get the result you want!

Thanks Easycompadre, it's a waiting game for me, and I'm not good at waiting! :0) I should be thinking fake symptoms, especially with two negative tests but I can't shake the feeling I'm pregnant. I'm actually looking forward to getting my period so I know for sure I'm not and can get on with TTC with a proper cycle as a guide!

I got pregnant while on cerazette with ds.

Went back on last October came off on 2nd June. Period returned 29th June and I'm currently 11weeks pregnant.

I waited until first period to return before trying.

Hi I had a few weird cycles at first, 7,7,and 13 days but then things settled down and I fell pregnant about 5 months after stopping Cerazette. I did stop in the middle of a packet though which probably wasn't the best idea.

5 months felt like an age at the time but comparing to a lot of people's experience it really isn't.

Yeah, HarkAtYou, I've stopped mid packet too. I know it could take a while, and we've only just started TTC, but it's like once you've made the decision to have a baby you want to be pregnant, like yesterday!
Also, we already have two boys age 5 and 6 so I'm hoping sooner rather than later as the age gap is already bigger than I would have liked.

I'm aware I'm turning a bit nutty so it's good to have outlets like this to vent/share experiences to avoid boring the pants off my friends or driving my OH insane! ;0) xx
