help over antral folliclle count - what does it mean??

hi
I had a scan this week and had an antral follicle count which I was told can help determine how many eggs you have

I had 7 on one ovary and 9 on the other
I am 42 and have been ttc for 3 years

Can anyone help with interpretating the results

That sounds like a perfectly good AFC to me.

I haven't heard of anything to increase AFC, but it can vary from cycle to cycle. Co-Q10 and royal jelly have been mentioned to improve egg quality.

Your number is good in itself and I'd go as far to say it is very good for 42 so I wouldn't worry too much about the number.

yes Ive heard the same thing about royal jelly and co q10 so I will try both of them - have been ttc for some time so need all the help I can get and my age is not on my side

You could try DHEA OP. it's meant to help increase the quality of ovarian reserve. Good luck.
