Hi everyone.
Hope someone can give me some clarity. I am in cycle 4 of ttc no 2 (not very long i know) I have been using OPKs this week, im on day 16 of cycle) with no surge and in the month I conceived ds I used them from day 3/4 to day 25 with no surge (weird I know).
Last week on day 9 I had a really sore swollen tummy and when I went to toilet there was some old blood passing which lasted a few hours. Previous to that we had only had sex twice on day 2 and 7 because dh has undergone a op.
If these OPKs are to be believed it looks like I never ovulate or a least don't get a surge (as have ds) gonna chuck the damn things out because everyday is a disappointment.
I'm a glass half empty kind of girl and have already written this month off as a loss.
My main concern is the age gap between ds and any sibling the gap is getting a bit big for my liking.
Can anyone shed some light on OPKS results and early bleed?

Have you tried charting your temps? This worked well for us and will give you an idea of when/ if you are ovulating also observing cervical mucus whilst a bit gross is really helpful. Google tcoyf by Toni welscher.

How long is your menstrual cycle? Day 9 is very early for ovulation but not entirely impossible. Have you tried testing twice a day? That helped me find the surge. The tests say afternoon but i usually found first thing better. Are you using digital tests oe cheapie tests? If cheapo, you can buy them in a higher sensitivity version which may be better for you.

if you are worried about irregular bleeding and your cycle is too short ot too long or not consistent then make a doctors appointment.
