Hi all,

Well today was our "big day"
It was back to Barcelona, to arrive at 9:45, for my 10:30 surgery to remove the oocytes (eggs)

Every thing went very well, very easy, and they took out a total of 16 eggs (oocytes).

I was sat in an examination chair, with the leg supports, and they put a strap around each of my thighs, and my calf's.
Then they gave me a small injection, and that was the last I remember.
I was completely "knocked out" I don't even think it took any more than 5 seconds to "knock me out" after that I woke up lying in a bed !!

My husband was there, and it was a great feeling knowing we are another important step forward in our want for a baby.

They kept me in the bed for an hour, and brought me some tea and toast, after about 30 minutes.

I hadn't eaten any thing since the previous night, I wasn't even really hungry, but they wanted to see me eat some thing.

Then about 30 minutes after that, I got dressed.
What really, really surprised me, is that I didn't feel nothing at all, no pain, no aches, no hurting what so ever.

Even now, a few hours later, i feel really great.

They did give me some paracetamol, to take home with me, if I got any pain later, but I feel absolutely fine.

I am sure they can't use all 16 eggs, I feel they can only use about 12.

Fay
