Hi everyone :) regular lurker occasional poster here.

My fiancé and I have only been ttc for about 8 weeks although have both wanted a baby for much longer just waiting for the right time. I also have a 6 year old Ds from a previous relationship.
My period is due today and as we are both so impatient I took a test this afternoon (clear blue plus) which came up a VERY faint positive as in hardly there but definitely visible if you see what I mean? So this evening I also took an asda own brand test which has again come back with an extremely faint line, even more so then the clear blue.

I know realistically that I need to wait a couple of days and test again if my period has not shown up but it's so hard not to get our hopes up :( anyone else is a similar position or had a similar experience?

Rare to get a false positive, a line is a line. Mine were so faint they were barely visible but I got a +Ive on a digital 2 days later. Good luck x

Thank you for the reply! :) that's what I thought but really don't want to get my hopes up. I have another asda test so thinking of trying in a day or so x

It takes 48 hours for your hog levels to double, plus all tests are different sensitivities so don't expect anything dramatically different tomorrow

EsmereldaBelle · 03/09/2013 00:33

I've heard there is never a false positive!! Exciting Grin I'd do another tomorrow, maybe a digital one were there is a definite 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant' just to be 100%

Writerwannabe83 · 03/09/2013 07:27

Congratulations!! Sounds like there is a bay on the way!! Grin

I've had false positives but odd tests, never two together. I'd say you're pregnant!

FredFlintstonesSister · 03/09/2013 08:45

I tested very, very early with a First Response Early Pregnancy test and was utterly stunned at the strong line. Get one of them and you could know for definite by tonight! Bit pricey though...

FredFlintstonesSister · 03/09/2013 08:45

Oh, and a line is a line. I reckon you're pregnant. Congratulations!

FairOfFaceButFullOfWoe · 03/09/2013 14:09

Thank you everyone for your replies :) I'll update when I've tested again probably tomorrow morning x

Sooooooo ?!....

FairOfFaceButFullOfWoe · 05/09/2013 14:12

Used another asda test yesterday morning and the line was still so faint I wasn't sure. Just used a clear blue digital and it said pregnant 1-2 weeks Grin
