Short luteal phase after stopping the pill?

Is this a common thing? If so, will it sort itself out? Anyone experienced it? In my first cycle after stopping the pill, my LP was only 7 days. Am praying that this month's will be more normal.

I think I already mentioned it, but I had a short LP in my first cycle (8 days). It was a very long cycle though, but still. I think it's just our bodies getting used to being off the pill. Maybe in that first cycle it's just not producing enough progesterone yet for a longer LP. I know that in that first cycle, my body also had to build up to producing enough oestrogen and LH for ovulation, so I think it's the same thing. In the next cycle I had loads more oestrogen and LH, so I'm hoping it will also up the progesterone.

In my second LP now and I'll let you know what happens!

Okay, thanks blamber. I don't know about LH but I had three days of positive opks. Was gutted about my short LP and hope it improves this time.
