Hi been reading and so far not found any answers.

My and hubby are ttc, been off the pill now 4 months and not had proper regular periods yet to work out ovulation etc.
We are trying and just been feeling a bit weird recently.

Did a test about 3 weeks ago as I had gotten it in my mind something was not right and got a negative test result..

Since then I have been still not feeling right, always tired, headaches, queasy, going to the toilet a lot,
and more now than before a hard rounded very low belly (think its called the pubic area?) it doesn't get any better after the toilet etc so not just a full bladder (tmi?)

Am I over thinking? Or is it worth retesting?
If its negative again what's wrong with me?

I would retest! If negative pop down to the gp!

It could be your uterus which would mean you would be 12 weeks pregnant. I would see your GP who will arrange a blood test and scan to confirm pregnancy.

Did test, it's negative. :( wonder what else it is?

Go to GP you might be 12 plus weeks and POAS is far less reliable then. GP will do blood test.

Just in from the docs,

Not very helpful really, just said I'm probably imagining the symptoms because of wanting to be pregnant. Although she did agree the bump was unusual.
She just said its probably hormone changes due to coming off the pill a few months ago.

Just said take a pregnancy test monthly so they can tell if I get pregnant without having periods. And to take vitamins and folic acid.

She would not do any blood tests as she said a negative pg test is enough. And made me feel quite stupid actually :(
I asked her regards my symptoms as generally feeling crappy, if Im not pg then what is it? She just said its all in my head.

Therefore not feeling great right now, but nothing more i Can do I guess.

Oh thats rubbish. I am sure if you went along with those symptoms and they realised you'd been off the pill for a while the first thing they would ask is could you be pregnant!? I would go and see another Dr, if you are not pregnant then you are still generally unwell with a lump.in your stomach! Sorry you had such a useless response.

nicx240187 · 08/09/2013 08:22

Bump is still there. Another negative test this am. (Just incase) ill try to get in with another doctor next week if its not changed. Many of my other symptoms have gone now just the bump left, and feeling tired easily.

Update: another negative test this morning :( and 'bump' still the and I swear its growing. Been on phone to triage doctors and they are still not interested in seeing me. All they said is a home test is as good as their tests. They didn't get my pont of if its not a baby what's wrong with me then?
Fed up :(

Okay, if it's not a baby you really need medical attention regardless. I would demand a scan to find out more. Have you got any other symptoms?

VJONES1985 · 19/09/2013 18:00

Sorry, just read your first post again. Okay, it needs investigating to make sure it's nothing serious if it isn't pregnancy.

RevoltingPeasant · 19/09/2013 18:58

OP I would go to see a different doctor and don't mention anything about possibly being pg. Just say, I have had this swelling in my abdomen for some time and I am quite worried about it. Can I be referred for an abdominal scan or ultrasound?

Agree with RP.
