Sorry if that's a silly question :(

Not a silly question - yes, it will.

There's a really good website that explains why, but annoyingly I can't remember the name of it.

Ov tests measure lh, pregnancy tests measure hcg. Apparently hcg mimics lh and therefore you can get a positive on an ov test if you're pregnant. However it's not as accurate as a pregnancy test so you can get false negatives but also false positives! Best to use a preg test.

I once wee'd on an OPKs when my period was due, purely out of interest as I'd never used them before as I was curious Grin I don't know what I was expecting but I got a very strong line in the test area and was baffled because I couldn't understand why I was ovulating when my period was due?!

Anyway - I came straight on MN and all the clever people told me that it can actually mean a BFP as the strips can't differentiate between the ovulation hormone and the pregnancy hormone.

I went straight out to buy some pregnancy tests and I got 4 BFPs Grin

Good luck x x

my first bfp was a very strong opk + (now 20 weeks) Grin

Thanks all. I had a Mmc in July and testing negative on opk so don't think I can be. Unless the hormone isn't strong enough yet....
