All good, just reading about ovulation stuff, god I'm obsessed Wink
I only came off the pill 2 weeks ago ha ha!
I forgot about the feeling for your cervix thing!

How are you? X

mrsmummytobe · 01/09/2013 07:46

I was chatting to my sister about it yesterday & I was really impressed as she ovulates on roughly the same cd every month & she knows all the signs - she says she gets ewcm but also feels more moody, sometimes down on the day she ov & some pain. Ov is still more of a guessing game for me as my cycle is still settling down after coming off the pill. I am definitely never going back on the pill though, even after I've had a child - it is too stressful waiting for my cycle to sort itself out!

theborrower · 01/09/2013 08:10

Crikey, I don't check into mumsnet for a few days and the thread has galloped away! Not had time to read everyone's posts. Are there any bfps yet??

Just checking in - on CD30 (i think) and no symptoms whatsoever, just mild sensitive boobs for last two days. Last month I was totally convinced I was pregnant bc I had symptoms for about 2 weeks so I'll not be testing until I'm really late.

Cycles last time around ttc were 28-32, this time around I've had a 35 & a 40. I think i ovulated around day 19 this tine as i had what i think was ov pain then and still had cm. how many days past ov is earliest you can test??

It's going to be a really long wait this time! :-)

DisneyDiva87 · 01/09/2013 08:24

Morning.

Shock horror my bfns were correct and I awoke in the clutches of AF this morning so I need to move to the end of the bus. Think I'm now due on 29th? I'll double check.

Choccywoccydodah · 01/09/2013 08:25

Nooooooooooooooo Disney Hmm hope you're ok xxxx.
Please stay x

mrsmummytobe · 01/09/2013 08:42

Oh noo! Hugs disney. At least it looks like sept could still be your month!

PurpleGeekyGirl · 01/09/2013 09:01

Ooh it's all starting to get exciting on here!!

Disney so sorry that af has arrived but good news you get another sept bfp Smile

Still waiting here... DP hugged me last night and my boobs screamed in agony. They're so tender at the mo, much moreso than normally before af. Still no af pains either but lots of backache and achy legs. Plenty of vivid dreams since I ovd too and I don't normally dream. The next few days are going to go so slowly but I am resolved not to take a test to my mums and to wait until wed which is 12dpo.

Good luck to everyone else Grin

chattychattyboomba · 01/09/2013 09:02

Sorry to hear Disney. Fingers crossed for 29th.

PurpleGeekyGirl · 01/09/2013 09:05

Blouer how's the spotting today?? I only had a bit of brown for a few hours on tissue. Not sure if I had imp bleeding with ds as those were the days when I didn't scrutinise the loo roll every time like I do now Wink

keepswimming1 · 01/09/2013 09:09

Sorry Disney.

Good luck to all those poas today :)

So I resisted in buying pg test yesterday while in town, but got home and read somewhere on here that you can use ovulation tests, so I peed on that...yes I know I've really gone nuts. anyway no test line come up, how reliable are they? Am I really out this month? af due on the 6th. has any one else done this before (god I hope so)

leezl · 01/09/2013 09:12

Sorry to hear about AF Disney. There's plenty room back here at the end of the bus though, and we have biscuits ;)

chattychattyboomba · 01/09/2013 09:19

Might be jumping the queue here but I think I might have got my bfp wrong... Ermmm sorry new to this TTC (baby #1 was more of a casual approach) So AF is due the 22nd according to my lMP...which means ov around the 9th...
I went and bought some boots ovulation test kits just to be sure as i am completely oblivious when it comes to knowing the symptoms.

chattychattyboomba · 01/09/2013 09:19

That's BFP date** wrong

Hendricks · 01/09/2013 09:25

Sorry to hear AF turned up disney.

I POAS first thing and, unsurprisingly, got a BFN. That's what I get for testing 4 days early I guess!

Some of you have got some promising sounding symptoms - fingers crossed for everyone!

DisneyDiva87 · 01/09/2013 09:29

Yea I'm ok. Deep down I knew I wasn't pregnant so I was just waiting for AF. She kindly turned up a day early to put me out of my misery.

I feel so ill now though. I'm tucked up in bed with a hot water bottle and agatha christie.

Nulanoo · 01/09/2013 09:56

Sorry to hear that Disney :( I think most of my symptoms are in my head too as I haven't got anything like needing to wee or tenderness. I just keep drinking a lot! Still got the white ewcm too, weird x

wispaxmas · 01/09/2013 09:56

Borrower, I read somewhere that while opks can detect hgc, they won't be as sensitive to it as a hpt, and will normally only give a + later than a hpt, though a couple people on the August bus said that opks gave them earlier bfps...

Sparrowlegs248 · 01/09/2013 10:08

Ugh. Dreamt i had an actual baby. AF is a wierd one - rather heavy and painful friday and half of saturday then nothing since about 3pm yesterday.

Sorry to hear of the bfn's. Fingers crossed for you early testers. 24th sept seems a loooong way off for me!

CoffeeGuzzler · 01/09/2013 10:17

Sorry to hear that af has hunted you down Disney. You still have a chance in September though.

What about all the people listed to hopefully bfp on 1st. (Finally September eh?) Suz, Bushprincess, Jellybean....please test! Grin

Does everyone get pg symptoms? I remember my sis-in-law saying something like..'oh my fishy god...i am pregnant...had no idea!'.

keepswimming...opks test for LH isn't that right? Don't think they are equipped for hcg. They can probably make do for contraception...but pg text...I don't think so.

Bloumermaid · 01/09/2013 10:19

Purple your spotting sounds more promising than mine, I've gone from being excited to sceptical again and trying not to get my hopes up. Had more this morning that seemed more like AF but still very very light. Who knows! Since coming off the pill I seem to be in a repeating pattern of symptom, excitement, bfn, disappointment. Anyone recognise this?!

Also my younger sister told me yesterday that they've started casually trying and I feel really conflicted about it - partly excited that we might be pg at the same time and partly an irrational desire to get pg first. It will be just my luck, I'm going at this by the book and they're 'just seeing what happens' (she got trollied at the wedding yesterday while I was on the schloer). I want to be happy for her so why do I feel like this is some sort of competition?

Btw they dtd more than anyone I've ever met so if there's a window they'll hit it.

CoffeeGuzzler · 01/09/2013 10:27

Bloumer, don't beat yourself up about how you feel. It's hard on everyone to see other people casually get what they desperately want. I am sure you are happy for your sister. You are also just a tint bit glum for yourself. And that's ok.

blamber · 01/09/2013 10:42

Keep swimming, the lh hormone mimics the hcg hormone, that's why some people get a positive ov test when they're pregnant. However, it's not very reliable, you can get false negatives and false positives. Just get some pregnancy tests, maybe some of those cheap ones online.

Bloumer, yes it's been up and down for me ever since I stopped the pill. It all depends on what my body is doing. Going from: 'oh i'll never ovulate, there's something wrong with me, I shouldn't have left it so long', to: 'yeeeaaaah finally got show/ov pains/temp rise Smile.

It's difficult wit family though, I just found out two of my family members are pregnant and it's difficult, especially because my mum is all excited.

chattychattyboomba · 01/09/2013 10:45

Bloumer- totally normal to feel that way. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself, your time will come (and I secretly hope it's before your sis too Wink)

On another note, found out my cousin is finally pregnant after years of trying, first round of ivf did the trick. She had to endure watching her younger sis get preg and give birth (first grandchild too)... Then brother and new wife announced they were trying... she was feeling very low. She said to my aunt it seems everything 'falls' into other cousins lap, And she has to fight for it all... I can totally empathise, but I can honestly say I admire my cousin sooo much for her graciousness, positivity and humility. I couldn't be happier for them.
