I'm using internet cheapie opks but cant really work out what it all means. can anyone help?

Sunday I got really strong pains in my right side which I thought was maybe ov pains. And had a blurry line on opk whuch disappeared later.

Nothing on opk on mon. Then faint line tues evening thought I was just catching the end of the surge but then wed I had same faint line and today a stronger line but still not as strong as the control.

Watery cm but there's less today.Blush

I thought I maybe ov'd on monday (cd14) but now im thinking maybe it's not happened yet? Hmm Its all so confusing! I got a strongish opk on day 18 last month, but still not quite as dark as the control.

We've dtd sat, sun, mon and wed so hopefully covered all the bases if its been already.

Get Clear Blue digital. They cost a frickin fortune, but there's no mistaking the result Smile.

And where are you testing your CM? The best method - though I can't remember where I read it - is to insert two fingers (index and middle ideally) into your vagina and gently press either side of your cervix, then move the fingers into the middle to collect what's come out of your cervix. It doesn't hurt, don't worry. Then check what you've collected. It makes a big difference, trust me: I sometimes think I've only got a little bit of watery or creamy CM, but if I do the method above, I'll discover what I've 'really' got - I'd never see my EWCM if I didn't do that.

thanks for replying. I really can't justify the cost of clear blue just now. Maybe in a few months if we've not had bfp.

tried doing your method of cm and got same results. No ewcm just watery.

Guess we will just keep shagging and see what happens. My biggest fear is that im not ovulating.

Are you temping then? That can help too if you manage to take it at the same time every day.

Watery CM IS fertile CM btw. Not every woman gets EWCM. Watery isn't as good as CM, but you can certainly get pg with it so don't lose heart. It may take you a month or two of charting etc to work out when you're fertile (for example, I have watery CM before EWCM so if you just have watery for the whole time, you may have a week or more and obviously some days will be more fertile than others) though. You could ask your GP for a Day 21 test if you think you may not be ovulating - though one month where you don't is normal.

The line really needs to be as dark as the control line. If it's fainter then you are not having an LH surge, because there is usually always some LH in your system.

Did you test before Sunday? Is it possible that you got an LH surge before Sunday and then got the pains?

RaRaZ · 30/08/2013 12:31

Blamber, are you the same as Blueamber? Hope that doesn't come across as rude, but I keep misreading your name because I'm so used to seeing Blueamber's, and wondered if I'd missed you having to NC for some reason.

thanks everyone, I'm nkt temping because I rarely get three hours undisturbed sleep and with dps shifts I just don't think it would work for me.

The line got gradually darker over a few days and now hardly there. the darkest line being yesterday afternoon. So even though it didn't exactly match the control line I'm wondering if that could have been the surge?

CM Gone from watery to creamy today and cervix much lower so thinking I might have ov yesterday...

This is a minefield!
