I'm guessing ov based on previous cycles as pretty regular but I've sent myself nuts symptom spotting. ....

extremely tired, bloated and gassy Shock indigestion-which I never get, crazy vivid dreams, sore boobs...I get sore nipples before af but never had just sore boobs,

what do you think? am I nuts? when can I test and does anyone know which is the best early test to use? x

You are nuts (in a nice way!) 5dpo is way, way, way too early to be able to tell.

There is little point in testing before 12dpo as the result will be too unreliable. The best tests are either First Response Early Response or plain old regular Superdrug tests. The digital tests need a higher concentration of HCG in order to give an accurate result, so best to wait until about 16dpo before using these.

Symptom spotting will only lead to driving yourself insane or, worse, disappointment. I experienced more "symptoms" than I care to think of in my failed cycles and the only pre-positive test symptom I got was slightly tingly nipples about 2 days before I tested (16 dpo).

Even if you have conceived it is extremely unlikely that the egg has even embedded itself in your womb yet, and to my knowledge though I may be wrong it is only when this happens do mild symptoms start. Implantation usually happens anywhere between 6-12dpo.

I had tiredness on 8dpo accompanied with weeing more frequently but I didn't experience any breast changes until 13dpo. Despite testing from 7dpo (because I was crazy) I didn't get my BFP until the day my period was due which was 14dpo.

I agree with Frank. The embryo only hatches out of its shell and gets ready to implant at about 6dpo. Before that, it is just floating along on its journey to the womb, unconnected to you.

Thanks ladies. I knew all that and have clearly disregarded it...how come it takes someone to tell you lol
I still feel 'different' to how I feel every other month but I will keep what you have said in mind and try to be more patient Grin
Thanks for your advice! x
