Very faint lines but digital says pregnant - Line is still super faint not getting darker

I have had two miscarriages at 7 weeks and I am now possibly pregnant again, I think? I got the digital positive result yesterday. I am only one day late today but I have been testing for a few days and the line seems so faint and doesn't seem to be getting darker on today's fmu.

I'm thinking possible a chemical pregnancy. I had a d&c on my last miscarriage and they've said they will investigate only after my third miscarriage but I'm really hoping it wont come to that. I already have two children.

I know I'm testing very early and most people will say to me to wait a week and test again to see if its darker but I'm in bits and its easier said than done putting it to the back of my mind!

So my question is has anyone had a faint positive that's faded into a negative? I'm a bag of nerves, keep your fingers crossed for me everyone!

Which tests are you using? I found the cheap ebay/amazon ones to be a bit shit, they gave very faint lines though my hcg rose well. The digital ones I believe aren't especially sensitive so I would take a positive on those as a cautious good sign.

Sadly only time will tell but I have my fingers crossed for you. Best of luck.

Fancies40Winks- Thanks for your reply hunni yes they are the cheapy ones from ebay that I've been using, hopefully thats the reason why the line is so faint xx

When I got my BFP I had taken 6 tests (long story) of varying brands and they were all obvious BFPs.

I tested the next morning, just to be sure, and with both tests there wasn't even a hint of a line! I instantly started panicking, thinking I'd had a chemical pregnancy or something but it all turned out fine in the end. I was reassured on here that many things can affect the hormone levels in the very very early days and so detection of the hormones can fluctuate. Apparently the levels double every 48 hours and so leaving a few days between doing the tests is the best thing to do.

I'm now 9wks+3 days and there is no doubting my lines anymore!!

Thanks for taking time to reply Writer hopefully your right and it is just my hormones fluctuating, trying to think positively, but its super hard.

Good luck with your pregnancy hunni xx

I had two bfp tests then went to the doctors to get it confirmed, my doctor did two tests both very faint lines and told me to test again in a week, turns out my tests were right im now 26w+4 days. Good luck.

I got a very clear but faint line on a Superdrug own test three days ago and then another later that day, neither were FMU. OH forced a Clear Blue Digital on me yesterday afternoon and I was expecting a not pregnant result. Within a minute that said Pregnant 2-3 and again this morning with FMU it said the same.
I think a Digital positive is a good thing. Everything crossed for you Xx

That seems like very good news, congratulations and best of luck.

Glad your line is getting darker that's brilliant news =)
I'm now hoping for what seems like a very important milestone - The "Pregnant 3+ weeks" result in the display window. Also had a blood test today to check my HCG levels are rising. I have some spotting and am so anxious. Watching OBEM and staying positive X

sandiy · 30/08/2013 13:55

Ask your gp to do hcg blood test if you are pregnant it will be at a certain level and rising under the circumstances this is not unreasonable. At least this way you can be certain either way x

Bugoven I've had spotting when pregnant with my boys, it can be quite normal I think its something like 1 in 4 women spot or something, if its accompanied by stomach pain or lower back pain I'd go the docs. I'm totally waiting to do another digital myself for the 3+ week result too!

I think if I'm still pregnant next week I will ask for a blood test I hope yours come back high and that you dont have to wait long for the results xx

I will do thanx Sandi xx

Thanks 27mummy I am telling myself it is normal as I won't be able to be seen by EPAU until Friday anyway. I do have a little pain but nothing alarming for me really.

I have abandoned CBDs after scaring myself with the results and have decided to try and be patient instead to reduce my stress until I can get some definitive results.

Hope all is well with you Xx
