Sore breasts

DTD last week - I was definitely ovulating as I had my Clearblue monitor flashing a smiley face at me

Anyway, I have sore breasts. Not massively so, and not unbearable but there is a definite dull ache in my nipples which comes and goes and, interestingly, is stronger in my left nipple than my right

Good sign, or too early? AF is not due for another 10 days.

I'm having the same thing! I'm also getting hot flushes and a few other symptoms which I'm worried are in my head, this would be my first pregnancy (if I am pregnant) so I have no clue what to look out for!, hope the pregnancy test turns out positive for you! good luck! xx

First pregnancy for me too! I'm petrified (but excited!) of the possibility that I might actually be expecting.

If I'm not that is fine too - just have to keep trying I suppose. Have only been trying since July; how about you? x

Well we haven't been 'trying' just not trying not too either if that makes sense? lol I'm so excited too! I'm just worried I'm setting myself up for disappointment! I have been off contraception since January though but about two weeks ago was the first time we have gone all the way lol xx

I've been ttc for 34 cycles. I've been pregnant in two of them. I had sore boobs after ovulation on all 34. It's just a sign of progesterone and unfortunately doesn't mean much.

I get sore boobs most months. It's caused by progesterone. I know this because the same thing happened when I had to take progesterone pessaries. It could be a good sign, or it could just be that you're sensitive to the rise in progesterone that happens in the second half of the cycle.

This wait is driving me mad! I don't wanna get my hopes up but I can't help but be really excited either! I feel like I've conceived but I'm afraid if I think I have too much I will be disappointed in a few days time! This is so emotionally confusing ever! I've got light pulsating in my stomach, period pain but not like I normally have it, had heart burn, hot flushes, moody isn't the word! God I'm so confused! lol bt I guess only time will tell xx

I never have sore breasts normally - ECM is my sign of ovulation lovely!

Missla, last month, when my period arrived I was disappointed but you get over it pretty quickly and plan ahead to the next cycle. Just have to wait and see :)

I've got sore boobs as well and a metalic taste in my mouth. I think you symptom watch though when you're ttc. If I wasn't ttc I probably wouldn't even notice what was happening with body.
I also learned I was ovulating yesterday which is a week later than expected and I D.T.D multiple times between Fri and Sat so fingers crossed. xxx

How many dpo are you?

I got sore boobs and cramps right after ovulation. Which is a sign my hormones are kicking in.

You wont necessarily get actual pregnancy symptoms until at least 9-10dpo (implantation) but you will get hormone changes.

Hence why people say pregnancy symptoms can be mistaken for menstruation symptoms too

I'm not completely sure Jelly. AF should be due a week on Thursday.

I never get sore breasts when ovulating or when I am having a period; that said I think our bodies do crazy things when TTC!

I'm in the same boat. Ttc #2 and have had really sore/sensitive nipples for about 3-4days. I'm never sore before my period, if fact the only time I've had sore nipples is when I found out I was pregnant with ds

I have irregular periods since coming off the pill but assuming I'll be due this week. Making myself wait until Sunday to test but its so hard to wait!

Laura - Im trying to hold out to Sunday to test too ( not sure Ill make it).

I had really sensitive sore nips dpo 1-5, then sore heavy boobs dpo 6-8. Then today (dpo9) nothing.

We'll have to wait and see!

I also had really sore boobs after ovulation last month, never experienced that before having been on the pill for 14 years. AF came right on time so was def just ovulation.

My problem is I don't know when I ovulated and because my cycles have been anywhere between 30-37 days I don't really know when I'm due so just guessing it'll be this week

Only reason I think I may be this time is due to having really sore nipples which I never have before af!

Can anyone tell me how soon after getting sore nipples they tested positive?

Don't think I'll be able to wait until Sunday but don't want to test too early.

Don't want to burst anyone's bubble, but be really careful symptom-spotting: you can honestly notice anything when you're trying to and you really want to be pg. I had all sorts of pg symptoms last cycle:

Frequent urination
Lower abdo bloating
Sore breasts
Tingly nipples
Swollen nipples and bigger breasts
Headaches

...and AF turned up bang on time

Aw I know. The body can play cruel tricks! I've only been ttc for a few months so in no big rush for #2

I'm more annoyed at sore nipples than excited that we could have done it this month haha x
