It's bleeding, lots of gunk and stringy stuff too but lots of red blood, definitely a period. Just getting a bit worse every time I go to the loo. I did take another pessary but it's probably just slowed it up a bit, I may just as we'll let it happen. Just waiting for the nurse to ring me back to confirm it.

So sorry, rasp. It's beyond shit, it really is. :(

I am very twingey today, think my ovaries must be growing more, shifting around.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 24/09/2013 18:32

Rasp, hand h

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 24/09/2013 18:35

Hand hold, I meant. We're hete for you, but this is the pits...

Nearly trigger, draf! Then a drugfree day, then d-day. You know it can work, so positive growy thoughts for you!

As for me, still coldy so quiet. I am reading and stressing in the background!

evilgiraffe · 24/09/2013 18:48

Fingers crossed, driz :) When is OTD?

FizzyFeet · 24/09/2013 18:53

rasp I'm so sorry, words don't really cover it. Don't lose hope, it can work and will work for you. Day 3 of my uber healthy diet and I feel ready to kill someone. Especially droids and instadiffers! I have decided that if I don't have many eggs left I can at least help the ones I do have to be good quality. Are any of you taking DHEA? Have read about it on the interwebs but not sure if it's given in the UK much.

draf and lems keeping everything crossed for you. And bugs good progress with the GP, that sounds like a way forward.

Never heard of DHEA, fizz, sorry.

Trigger done, no probs. Looking forward to a stab-free day tomorrow!

FrankelInFoal · 25/09/2013 08:21

Isn't DHEA some kind of supplement (something-something-something acid ) that is purported to help with egg quality?

Well stabbed Draf, when are you back in for EC?

RaspberrySnowCone · 25/09/2013 08:25

Enjoy stab free day Draf, mine was a Saturday and I kept having random panics through the day that I'd forgotten something. Uber paranoid. Trigger shot was awful too, I was obsessed with getting it done on the exact minute. I'm anal like that though.

I'd not heard of DHEA Fizz so googled. It's not something I'd take without talking to a doctor first from what I've read.

Thanks for the support chaps. Am awake early, thought I'd watch something on the laptop to keep me occupied but have ended up watching Sex: My British Job. Not particularly cheery viewing.

evilgiraffe · 25/09/2013 12:39

I found the trigger no big deal, but then between downregging and stimming I'd already done fifty stabs, so it's all starting to feel rather ordinary :)

So far today I've gone to the pharmacy for post-EC painkillers (I've been told to have paracetamol and codeine in - now have cocodamol) - is it really so bad as to require opiates, though? Eeep. I've also gone round the garden with the hoe, so hopefully the dandelions/grass won't have got too much of a foothold by the time I feel like doing it again (spring, probably).

EC is at 11.30am tomorrow, Frank, though we have to report to the clinic at 10.30am. Driving down to stay with ILs tonight, so it should be an easy drive in the morning. Not sure how long we'll stay with them, but will see how it goes.

RaspberrySnowCone · 25/09/2013 13:21

I didn't find the EC that bad at all, it was more just a weird feeling being poked around but I was so busy watching on the screen and trying not to laugh because of the sedative I didn't really notice much discomfort. The couple of days after were slightly uncomfortable and twingy at worst because when they take out the eggs your ovaries fill with fluid which can make them even bigger than they already are

Excellent, It will all happen really quickly once your period starts after your appointment. It's quite a shock to the system but that's good I think, better than having to wait around for months and months. Regardless of protocol at least you then feel more in control as you are doing something.

I didn't really expect to be such an emotional fuck up so in hindsight I'd take from day of EC up to a day or two after ET off. It would be a week tops. I really wish now I hadn't gone back on Monday.

OP posts:
FizzyFeet · 25/09/2013 19:25

Thanks for the thoughts on DHEA - good in a way to know that it's not something loads of people are on and I'm not! It is meant to improve egg quality - my thinking being that if I don't have many left I can at least help them to be good 'uns!

Exciting to get a timescale, bugs - the waiting is hard but it's not long now. Are you still moving house? The chances if an ironi-diff must be quite high...

Good luck for ec tomorrow, draf. Hope it all goes well! I think my clinic say that you need the day after as sick leave (and poss the one after that too) because of the sedative. If we get that far I'll be planning to take about a week in total. And if you're taking codeine, remember to eat plenty of fibre, as it can have an slowing effect on the bowel, and you don't want to be straining your ovaries
