Well, ill see how I cope. I may start my period before test day anyway but as OTD is a Friday and you are supposed to use FMU I'm going to use the clinic test first thing Saturday morning but use a tesco cheapy when I get home from work on the Friday afternoon. Other than that I am not going to test. I can do this, I have will power. I am a strong person.

Still can't decide on work. It'll be pretty stress free in that my boss knows and ill be day on my ass eating biscuits in a managers meeting all afternoon. Ill go stir fucking crazy at home I reckon, oh I don't know. MATV will be cross if I go in though

I found telling myself "I'll buy a test tomorrow" helped. It's kind of like the recovering alcoholic's mantra of no drink today, but I'll have one tomorrow Grin

JethroTull · 15/09/2013 15:15

That's exactly what I did Frank. And I kept the tests downstairs so that most mornings I done a wee half asleep before the realisation hit me. Also helped (in a weird way) that SSG was away until the night before I tested.
One day at a time Rasp.

evilgiraffe · 15/09/2013 17:06

Glad you've got one on board alright, rasp, and hope the endless waiting until OTD doesn't stretch on too long :)

Shellster52 · 16/09/2013 04:59

Hey all

I am over 30 and TTC for 2 years so I hope you don't mind me joining you with my insanities on this blog. I am going for IVF egg retrieval tomorrow. Round one was a complete disaster. Only grew two large follicles and the Dr @#$%ed up and only took out one egg, not realising there was a 2nd follicle on other ovary. The one egg fertilised but died at day 2. I have put all my powers into this round with high protein diet, acupuncture and a protocol designed for poor responders so now am anxious about how the next few days pan out as I feel like if this round doesn't work, nothing will! Sorry that's a boring intro about myself but just needed to get that off my chest!

RaspberrySnowCone · 16/09/2013 07:17

Hello Shellster, blimey what an ordeal, must have been extremely hard for you. You are most welcome here, fill out the BESHionaire and tell us a bit about yourself then get yourself comfy.

Most importantly, good luck for today. Let us know how you get on.

Hags I'm knackered, went to bed waaaaay to early, slept well but woke at 4am then dozed and now can't wake up!

That is a busy day bugs. Sorry this anxiety is causing you so much hassle, it's a bitch isn't it.

My day has been easy enough, got a dress for my cousin's wedding on Friday, lucky it's very flattering as I have properly porked up over the summer. I think my first post-mc droid may be imminent too, based on me sobbing my eyes out over nothing in a supermarket car park Hmm

FrankelInFoal · 16/09/2013 19:51

Sorry you are still feeling anxious Bugs, do you at least feel better than you did? Congrats on the house too.

Welcome Shell, I look forward to reading your BESHtionnaire

Aww, winks :( And for you too, bugs.

I was in Ely today, Frank - lots of dressed-up people, a TV camera setup and rumours of a trainer's wedding - any ideas?

Day six of stimming done, tonight's was rather ouchy and a bit bleedy, grr. Roll on Wednesday's dildocam, I want to know if it's doing anything...

FrankelInFoal · 16/09/2013 21:33

It was Sir Henry's memorial service Sad I was going to go, but didn't feel quite up to it. 1,000 people turned up apparently.

evilgiraffe · 16/09/2013 22:33

Ahh, that explains why there was nowhere to park, then! Glad we didn't hang around waiting to see the bride - how inappropriate would that have been? Shock :(

Can't help with the Kalms Bugs, but hope it does the job for you.

Thinking of you too Rasp, and good luck to our sort-of newbie Shell for today.

MyNameIsWinkly · 17/09/2013 18:52

Any improvement/change from the Kalms bugs?

rasp you hanging on in there?

draf thanks :) There isn't really anything wrong as such, just feel like shite. Oh and my mother is being a grade A bitch to my sister for no good reason, which is a bit stressful. And I am seriously massively fat. But all good otherwise. Fingers crossed for tomorrow's dildocamming, hopefully the ouchyness is worth it. What time is it?

Hi everyone else.

Glad you feel a bit better, bugs, bellyache notwithstanding.

Feeling like shite is par for the barren course, eh, winks? It's not fair, it really isn't.

Tomorrow's dildocam is at 10am, and shall be my first without HOTB in attendance, as he's in France for work. I am currently snuggled up on the sofa in his jumper, eating yogurt and watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer - glamorous, eh? Grin

RaspberrySnowCone · 17/09/2013 20:24

Good luck for dildoing tomorrow. I feel a bit weird having gone two whole days without one and without another pencilled in for a while.

Glad your feeling a bit calmer Bugs but stomach ache sucks. Have you started your woo pills?

As for me, I'm feeling grumpy, tired and pessimistic today. I POAS just a minute ago to see if the trigger shot would give a positive and it didn't, was a negative test so I'm guessing that means its all gone? According to my chart off the interwebs, by Tuesday next week if its worked there should be enough HCG to be detected on a test. I don't understand why I have to wait so loooooong, no one A&E seems to so I wonder if he got his dates mixed up? I just don't get it. There's no way I can hold out that long. Will power has waned....

OP posts:
CatsCantFlyFast · 17/09/2013 20:28

Rasp as far as I understand they want you to wait so long so they don't get people testing early, ringing the clinic and then getting a positive later down the line without the need for the upset in the middle. You can test when you want, you just can't ring the clinic and report a negative until the date they gave you iykwim

RaspberrySnowCone · 17/09/2013 20:39

Now that's a way forward Merks - thanks!

Nope, I'm back at work. I'd go mad if I was stuck at home!

FrankelInFoal · 17/09/2013 21:08

Definitely keep yourself busy Rap. I agree with Merks too, try and make it to this time next week and then test. Just keep in the back of your mind that it might possibly be a teeny bit early.
