I'd love a new house but I hate moving. Saying that, our place is a good size/location so no point going through the additional stress.

On the puppy front we are just going to get this week out of the way. We want to see a couple of breeders first. I would have been happy with a rescue but Ben is determined he wants one from a pup. There are a couple of people in a 20/30 mile radius that we can go see so would them just have to wait until the next litter.

evilgiraffe · 17/09/2013 22:23

We could do with a bigger house: ours is titchy. Although with imminent new flooring it will at least be a good deal improved in the next couple of months!

eurochick · 17/09/2013 22:45

I agree with merk - rasp you can test whenever you want to. Some people prefer to wait. Some people test daily. I'm somewhere in the middle. I make sure the trigger shot has gone and then test a couple of days early at 12dpEC with a sensitive internet cheapie. I've always got some kind of line by then on all of my three cycles.

bugs I hope the kalms are keeping you calm.

Work is keeping me busy, so I don't have too much time to think about ttc (or anything else!) at the moment.

Shellster52 · 18/09/2013 03:44

Thanks for the welcome Frankel. Where is this Beshtonnaire you guys mention so that I can fill it out?

So I gather a few of you are in the same IVF boat as me. Evilgirrafe, you mention you are about to go for your day 8 scan. Is this your first IVF?

And I assume Rasp you are in the same IVF boat doing a preg test to see if trigger has gone so you can know future tests will be positive from pregnancy and not trigger. I did that myself thismorning after having egg collection yesterday - nice to know I am not the only one desperate to test for pregnancy.

I got 5 eggs yesterday which may sound pathetic but good for a poor responder like me. I am going to get a phone call any moment to tell me how the eggs fertilised. Every minute is taking forever!!!!

RaspberrySnowCone · 18/09/2013 06:37

5 eggs sounds goods, especially if you knew you might respond poorly. Everything crossed it goes to plan from here on in.

MATV wants to hold out as long as possible so I may wait until next Saturday and that will be 17 days past EC and 12/13 past transfer. I think I can hold out that long although not sure if my body will, I'm getting period type cramps so I fully suspect something isn't working as it should be in there .

Good luck today Evil, hope there's lots of big follies growing away!

FrankelInFoal · 18/09/2013 07:14

Good luck today Draf

Shell 5 eggs is good . The BESHtionnaire is a list of questions for newbies, you can find it on previous BESH threads. It's nothing too taxing Wink

Good luck on the puppy front Rasp, we were in the process of getting a Maine Coon when I got upduffed, so we've out that in hold for now - the timing would have meant new baby and kitten at the same time, and even I'm not that mad!

evilgiraffe · 18/09/2013 07:58

There is in fact a completed BESHtionnaire on this thread...

Five eggs is plenty, Shell, hopefully fertilisation has gone well! Yep, this is our first IVF, so everything's rather new. Still, dildocamming and blood tests are old hat so I'm not too worried about today. I just hope something is happening down there! I've had a couple of twinges, but otherwise not much to show for it - I will be upset if it all looks dull! After months of downregging, just one week of stimming (so far) seems very quick!

There's still time, rasp, loads of differs get cramps. Try not to let it worry you (easier said than done) :) Oh, and you will show us puppy pics, right? My neighbours have a young Staff that they got as a puppy, he's lovely.

KatAndKit · 18/09/2013 08:07

I would avoid testing until the equivalent of 12 days post conception. I assume that would be the day of EC or the next day? Some tests will work for some women from 10 days, but spare yourself the madness of very early testing. At 12 days you can do an early test and trust the result. So try to hold on till then.
i have no piss sticks in my house. I may need to get some cheapies and hide them in the bathroom!

evilgiraffe · 18/09/2013 08:09

Mind you, puppy and rescue are not mutually exclusive. Look at this lovely one! And how could anyone resist this face?

FrankelInFoal · 18/09/2013 08:14

Kat don't forget to PM me your address so I can post your Shag Dictator back to you.

MyNameIsWinkly · 18/09/2013 08:16

My sister got a puppy when she had a new baby. Who would have guessed that would be a bad idea Hmm

rasp don't write yourself off, my early diffment felt very like pmt/period starting. Cramps could be the embryo nestling in. But if you feel happier with a Negative Mental Attitude that's ok too.

shel good luck for the call today.

Morning hags!

Welcome and good luck today shell. I am a bad BESH and often away (cos I don't MN at work and work a lot) but I'll be perusing your BESHtionaire on the train home one evening, I hope. Sorry about the journey you've had so far and well done for five egglets!

Rasp hang in there, take whatever attitude you need and know we're thinking of you.

I'll be joining the WWs as lembie defrosted okay and will be picked up from the ice hotel in less than an hour Shock.

For shell, this is my first FET after IVF 1, which led to a chem diffment in August and a nice freezer drawer of frosties; we're unexplained and I've had a mc after SO+IUI last year.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 18/09/2013 09:32

And good luck for dildo-camming draf. Fingers crossed there is stuff going on. --But at 8days of stimming nothing much was with me, about 20 odd follies

eurochick · 18/09/2013 09:34

bugs wear something that pads your shoulders - a shotgun can give you quite a kick!

rasp that could be a good sign.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 18/09/2013 11:32

Enjoy the shooting bugs!

I am cocooning with a little early blast on board. Fairly uneventful transfer. OTD 30th, but droid due on 28th although that has been more wobbly since the mc last year. So if it fails to arrive, we'll test on Sunday 29th.

evilgiraffe · 18/09/2013 12:07

Well done, driz!

Dildocam uneventful other than getting stabbed three times for a blood sample. Lining is now 8mm, my right ovary has 12-14 follicles, several of which are 9-11mm, and the left ovary has around 6 follicles, a couple of which are around 10-12mm. Not too bad! Just got to wait for a call if they want to adjust the dose, but if they don't want it to change they won't call. Next dildocam is Friday morning...

JethroTull · 18/09/2013 15:38

Rasp I had womble pains for the first few days after ET - think it's par for the IVF course.

Good luck Driz & sending growing vibes to Draff's follies - go, go, go!

Looks like MiniJeff will be here early - could be having a c-section on Monday Shock

FizzyFeet · 18/09/2013 16:51

Hello hags - permission for a me me me post? Just got back from the clinic. Consent forms fine, bloodwork fine, womb lining fine - but completely unexpectedly a massive blood-filled cyst taking over the left ovary, and only one follicle on the right. They are now really worried about my ovarian reserve, especially given my young (ha!) age. Warned me that even after stimming I might only get one or two eggs, or even none Sad

Next step is a repeat scan next cycle to see if the cyst has gone and if there are a few more follies

Am devastated - I had been pinning so much hope on the success rates we were quoted that this feels like a massive blow.

RaspberrySnowCone · 18/09/2013 18:16

Oh Fizzy I'm so sorry, is there any counselling available at your clinic that you'd find useful? I have nothing helpful to offer, it all sucks. Hopefully the cyst will clear quickly though, when is the next scan?

Thanks for the support everyone. Apart from a sobbing session at work I am now symptomless, even my boobs have stopped hurting now. Not hopeful but trying to take it easy and be positive but work was crazy busy to day :/ nightmare

FizzyFeet · 18/09/2013 18:42

Thanks rasp. I have spent the last 2 hours googling like a mad thing and am feeling a little bit better. Next scan will be in about 3 weeks I think - after next droid. Am day 18 now. Hopefully the cyst will fuck off and leave us with a better picture. Have also been looking at donor eggs and childfree by choice forums to try to work out just how far I'm prepared to go with all this.

Sorry to hear you are having a tough time with work. Were you able to sob at understanding colleagues? And you know as well as I do that no symptom doesn't mean anything. You are still PUPO! Smile

draf and lems good luck! And good luck jeff - hope you are ok and mini-jeff gets here soon and safe!

MyNameIsWinkly · 18/09/2013 18:42

Oh fizz that is dog shit and of course you're devastated. But cysts come and go, and they wouldn't be pressing on if it was hopeless. Fingers crossed for you.

rasp stop symptom spotting Too soon, too unhelpful.

jeffers fucking hell, how time flies! Keep us up to date.

I am on CD1 today so called the hospital to book the hsg. They then told me they cancelled my referral and I need to see the consultant to be re-referred - it would have been great if they had mentioned that when they sent me the paperwork for my next appointment and I wouldn't have pushed it back 2 months pending the hsg. Grr.

FizzyFeet · 18/09/2013 18:44

winkly hospital admin fuck ups are the worst, aren't they! Grrrrrrrr on your behalf.
