Hi newbie here. So I am about to get my implant removed this next week hopefully. After these last 8 months have been with it having become anaemic and now also mefenamic acid not the best. My long term oh and I have decided we would like to ttc.
I would like to find out did anyone have any problems after having implant taken out with ovulation ect?

I had a hormonal coil (Mirena) and also took the pill - when I had it removed and stopped taking the pill the doctor gave me the usual 'it might take a year' line. I went back recently and a new doctor explained that women all respond differently after stopping hormonal contraceptives - some get pregnant straight away, others take longer.

My massive recommendation to you is relax, enjoy the bding! Stress is a killer for TTC. The better health (mentally and physically) that you're in, the easier it will be.

If you are keen to monitor ovulation - I'd try ovulation peesticks, monitoring your CM and maybe charting your temperature. Or you could just see what happens, have sex 2/3 times a week all through your cycle.

Honestly, the ovulation watch has been the bane of my life. it might work for you though.

Best of luck and have fun doing it!

I was pregnant within 8 weeks of my implant removal. My friend got pregnant within the week!

Good luck

I had the implant removed in January. Waited 6 months for first period then another 2 months for the next one.
I kept getting myself so worked up!
My GP has just said not to be worried, I'm probably not ovulating yet and it can take a while for things to get back to normal. She advised to go back in 6 months if I'm not pregnant and then they would start blood tests.

I read loads of the comments saying people got pregnant within 1 month, 2 months, 1 week and it really got my hopes up, then stressed me out when my period didn't turn up.

I feel more chilled now though. I hope things go easier for you! Smile

I can't work out whether you mean you the implant you have put under the skin of your arm, or whether you mean you have a Coil?

But, if it helps, when I had my Mirena Coil removed me and my hubby started TTC straight away and we fell pregnant on our first cycle Smile
