vitamin b6 pushing my cycles too long

And I'm not sure if I want to keep on taking it, it's also pushing my ovulation time 3+ days.
Since September last year my cycles have went from 24 day cycle to til now 30 and I don't want to go beyond that but it's really helping with cm!

Any thought or advice ?

Why did you start taking it? Was your LP too short?

babyrose · 22/08/2013 11:27

It was a bit on the short side plus I wasn't getting much cm and thought it would help which it has but now cycles are getting longer and not sure that's what I really want.

If they stay at 30 days with increased cm, I think you should stick with it. I personally would prefer that to a short cycle with no cm. How long us your luteal phase now?

Alohomora · 22/08/2013 11:32

Would it be a possibility to use something like pre-seed to help the swimmers along instead of taking the B6?

babyrose · 22/08/2013 12:21

VJones luteal phase is between 12 and 14 which is great, last month was a 30 day cycle and 3 months before were exactly 27 which has got me thinking that may follow again well not that I want af I want to pg!

Alohomora I've been pricing it and heard good things about it, just needing to hear what other people thought on the matter.

If it's just the cm you're taking it for, I perhaps would try something else, such as preseed. Your LP seems ok. B6 does have the effect that it can delay ovulation and it's frustrating if your cycles are longer when ttc.

babyrose · 22/08/2013 16:30

If do stop it it will probably take sometime for ovulation to go back to normal or will it go back and just stay the sameSad now I feel like I'm going backwards!

I too took b6 for a month to stop spotting . It did but it gave me a 20 day Luteal phase. ( changed 28/29 day cycle to 33 day cycle) I stopped and it took me one more cycle to get back to normal. Am now taking much lower dose of b6 complex instead. I too felt I would rather have a shorter cycle as it was frustrating.

babyrose · 26/08/2013 19:40

Hi olive, what dosage did u take? I'm only taking 50mg.

Hi baby rose, sorry for late message- been on hols. I took 100 mg. I did have tingly fingers too but apparently 100mg is not too high. 200 mg is considered high. Anyway, it did muck up my cycle for a couple of months. Back to average of 28 days now taking b complex.
