TTC for 2 years for #1 - Should we be trying IVF? Private v NHS?

Hi all,

This is my first post here and I'm just hoping for some advice from anyone who has gone through this already.

Me and my DH have been TTC since August 2011. We've had all the tests done - I have PCO but not PCOS and find it difficult to detect when i'm ovulating, but apart from that, there apparently isn't anything preventing us from conceiving. We've gone through the NHS for everything so far.

We are at the point now where drugs like Clomid have been tried and failed and we have been advised to look at IVF. I really didn't want to go down the IVF route, but we both really want kids - I'm 34 and my DH is 43. ATM, we are entitled to one cycle of IVF on the NHS, but we would then have to pay.

I am considering going private in terms of getting another opinion on our situation and wonder if anyone could recommend going Private or a clinic in south east london (bromley, croydon etc)? Also, if anyone has had unexplained fertility problems and has subsequently got PG - it would be great to hear from you.

Thanks!
