Clear Blue Smiley Confusion!

So yesterday I got my first ever fixed smiley (dual hormone) in the year we've been trying. I was so excited and late for work that I left the stick in the device and tucked it away to show DP later. Now usually in the past, if I left the stick in the device, it was just switch off until I ejected later. But when I got back, the smiley was still there and stay there even when I ejected the stick... And left it for a few hours.

Now I'm worried that it was a false smiley. Anyone else had this?

I seem to remember it keeps the smiley on display longer than the other symbols so this may be normal? Do you still have the leaflet?

That's understandable but it was like that for a good 12hours. And then I took it apart I'm definitely my fathers daughter lol took the battery in and out and now has an error code.

I looked at the booklet but it didn't say anything about the smiley. Just the error code.

I just used one of the sticks from the dual hormone kit in an old monitor for the normal digital (pink one) and that just came up with a smiley too, but last night I did that an just got a clear circle. So I'm using a ic opk I don't think they work for me

Yesthe fixed smiley stays on for two days.

Usually the first stick you always get a clear circle, because iT uses that first one as a base line, to judge whether your oestrogen or lh are rising later on.

i left it in for a little longer by accident but the positive sign is still there!!!! ...perhaps its faulty???

No it is normal that it stays on for 2 or 3 days. You won't need to use it until after your AF again anyway.

Lol I have figure this all out now. I feel like an idiot as I emailed cb haha

It is bcos I've never ever had a smiley on my cb or a + opk. And I was going to work at the time of testing so I was just so happy. Then when I got home I was so busy packing and squeezing in a quick dtd sesh, that I forgot to bring the instructions.

Oh well, luckily in my wash bag I had an old monitor for the cb opk (pink) and I used the sticks from the advanced cb opk (purple) and got another smiley which put my mind at ease a bit more :)
