Could this be caused by coming off the pill? Or ovulation?? It's driving me mad!

I never had that when I came off the pill. Not sure with O, don't recall that either. Its a sign of a water infection though :( sorry x

VJONES1985 · 16/08/2013 13:19

Yeah I know but I'm very prone to cystitis and it's definitely not that. Will see how I go over the next few days.

That happened to me when DS1 was conceived. I was weeing for England and it really stung. I thought I might have ended up with an infection from my "busy" weekend, but I turned out to have ended up with something else!

VJONES1985 · 16/08/2013 13:39

That's good to know :) If I was further along in my cycle, I might be more hopeful! Don't know if and when I ovulated this month. Perhaps I'll get a colostomy bag...

My bladder gave up the ghost very soon after DD was conceived - if you start nodding off at the drop off a hat it's definitely time to POAS!Grin

VJONES1985 · 16/08/2013 13:43

No nodding off (apart from afternoon naps, which are unusual for me) but have had wind, bloating, light cramps, headaches and nausea. Still, am convinced it can't be pg!!

Managed to last an hour and ten minutes this time! At my nan's house today and have told her we're trying for a baby. She's not impressed that I would have to return to work once I've had a baby. Oops...

Could be a UTI - sometimes frequent urination is the only symptom. I've also had this with a uterine infection, though that's probably unlikely unless you've also have recent ops/etc.

ThedementedPenguin · 16/08/2013 17:32

They are all pregnancy signs. Grin

When are you dye AF?

VJONES1985 · 16/08/2013 17:37

Not 100% sure when af is due as I'm just off the pill but it's at least a week away :(

I usually get cystitis a lot but this is different as there's no pain or discomfort. It could be an infection but don't want to use over the counter medicine in case I actually am pg. Guess I need a doctor's appointment!

I remember when I was currently running to the toilet around the middle of my cycle, oh what joy that was Grin

My colleagues joked I was pregnant and I laughed it off saying that even if I was, it was far too early to be having signs as it had only been about 10 days since my period had finished.

I got my BFP a week later and I'm now 8 weeks.
Never say never Grin

VJONES1985 · 16/08/2013 18:03

It does feel very early! How many days did your toilet dashing last, writer?

It started about a week prior to my BFP and then carried on strongly for about 3 weeks.

Thankfully, over the last few weeks it has started to ease off Smile

The hormone that is released as soon as conception takes place has a relaxing effect on the bladder, hence why urination can suddenly start occurring really frequently in the very early days.

My hormone levels are probably starting to plateau a little bit now so my toilet visits are much less frequent Smile

VJONES1985 · 16/08/2013 18:36

Three weeks?! :( Am gonna poas next weekend and take it from there. Also, do you know when implantation bleeding occurs? Is it at conception or after that? Thanks.

OP posts:
Writerwannabe83 · 16/08/2013 18:55

Yep, it was a nightmare three weeks Grin My husband found it hilarious though....except when it was the night time runs of course and I would keep waking him up Smile

Not everyone has implantation bleeding, I certainly didn't anyway. I'd be interested in finding out what percentage of women do actually. I might google it Smile If it does occur though it can happen anywhere between 6-12 days after conception.

Writerwannabe83 · 16/08/2013 18:58

According to Baby Med only 20-30% of women have implantation spotting Smile

VJONES1985 · 16/08/2013 18:59

You might think I'm strange saying this but I haven't told anyone (apart from you guys) about my 'symptoms'. I think it's because I would then feel pressure to actually be pregnant and I guess I don't want to get my hopes up or anyone else's hopes up.

OP posts:
Writerwannabe83 · 16/08/2013 19:01

You've done the right thing!!

My colleagues were 'symptom spotting' on my behalf and they drove me crazy!!!

Every time I had a wee, "I bet you're pregnant!"
Every time I yawned, "I bet you're pregnant!"
If I dared mention I had a headache, "I bet you're pregnant!"

Drove me insane!!!!

My advice is keep yourself to yourself Grin

VJONES1985 · 16/08/2013 19:03

As a teacher, I work mainly with women and every time someone feels sick or tired everyone mentions pregnancy and it's so annoying!

lol - I work with a team of Health Visitors!!
Imagine how bad that is then Grin
