I have a regular 31 day cycle and we dtd every other day from day 10-21 but for those who use okps, what's the earliest and latest you've had a positive?

I ov quite late in my cycle around days 19/20 so if I stopped DTD at day 21 I might miss it.

Mine seems to jump around - day 13/14/15 all positive OPK this month, last month was day 18/19/20. From my temp change, I ovulate on the last day I get a positive OPK. AF always comes on day 28 or 29 regardless of when I get the positive OPK. Weird!

Generally studies have shown that if you DTD after ovulation, there isn't really much hope of fertilisation but its still worth a shot.

Well dontcallmedaughter You have cheered me up :)
I thought I was out for this month and the next two but mayb not now :)

Glad to help keepswimming1!

If you want to give OPKs a try, I use the really cheap ones off the internet (they cost about 20p each) and then when it looks like its positive, I confirm with one of the expensive Clear Blue Digital smiley faces. That way it keeps the cost down - especially if your cycle isn't regular and your partner isn't up to every other night for weeks at a time...

I'm trying to avoid using them, I've only used it once which was last month (Morrison brand) and I O on day 19ish. So I just assumed I would always be around the same time. My OH leaves the country today for 2 months so I thought we would miss out this month to, as judging but last month day 19 is next week but now I still might be in with a chance. Doubtful but you never know :)

I'd quite like to start using them but dh doesn't want to until we've been trying a bit longer. It's so hard for the control freak in me!

My cycles are irregular - anything between 27 and 42 days, although most are 30-32 days. I have ovulated on CD14, 20,29...all over the place depending on the length of the cycle for that month. And don't get me started on how many OPK sticks I use within the month. I go for the clearblue digital ones as I'm tired of guessing with the normal ones. This baby making business is expensive!
