Do they all carry this requirement? I can't not wee for 4 hours!! Is it essential you wait that long?!

I thought it was 2 hours? Although I haven't been able to stick to that every day myself...

pxmx · 15/08/2013 18:04

I diddnt know this and i'm the same not peeing for 4 hours is not easy for me!!!

woodwaj · 15/08/2013 18:52

I use clearblue and it recommends I use it first thing in the morning and if not, try not to drinks loads as it can dilute your wee. Maybe give that a try

VJONES1985 · 15/08/2013 19:15

That's interesting, as some opks tell you not to use fmu, mine included...

woodwaj · 15/08/2013 19:21

Looking at other posts clear blue aren't all that popular! Might need to just cross your legs ladies!!

blueamber · 15/08/2013 20:44

Onl theclearblue advanced is with fmu, because they just work differently. Other opks shouldn't be used n the morning. Lh could build up overnight and give you an inaccurate result.

woodwaj · 15/08/2013 21:04

I've just checked, I am using the advanced so it is fmu, I have never used any others though

justb01 · 16/08/2013 08:29

That sounds crazy! Isn't it better to tempinstead of using OPK?

lifesgreatquestions · 16/08/2013 08:35

mine also don't wasn't first wee, is be stuck waiting for for hours!

lifesgreatquestions · 16/08/2013 08:36

(stupid phone!)

woodwaj · 16/08/2013 09:07

Personally I don't like temping and the clear blue stick seem to be working well for me just expensive :(

greeneone12 · 16/08/2013 09:26

Mine say no first morning wee and that test should be done after 4 hours of not urinating! I can't see how I would ever get a chance to do that....these were from www.zoombaby.co.uk

I am concerned about using them and not sticking to the guidelines in case I get incorrect results! I thought maybe I could have a wee at work at 3pm and then hold it until 7pm when I get home but I reckon I would be very uncomfortable on my commute home!

Arrgh what to do!

I am not sure, also, how I am meant to hold it for 4 hours and then not let it be too diluted. This is all a bit more involved then I first thought!

It depends on the brand. My says I should try not to wee for two hours, which can be tricky but is better than four hours. Having said that, I have definitely not been using mine accurately every day and so that could possibly have affected the results. Am pleased I bought a batch of cheapo ones from amazon so it isn't too expensive.

greeneone12 · 16/08/2013 13:07

Mine were fairly cheap too so guess its not too bad. Will just try and hold it as long as I can!!

Urine is more diluted the more you go so not going (or drinking) for two hours beforehand should be okay.

greeneone12 · 16/08/2013 20:04

Thanks for your advice :)
