IVF - ICSI starting very soon

We are in Barcelona at the moment, attending the Eugin fertility assist clinic.

We have had both our blood tests done, my examinations, and his sperm sample and been collected, and the required sperm frozen and ready.

I am just waiting for the first day of my period, then we must phone Eugin, and we will be brought in the next day to start the treatment.

We have been told the first treatment is a small "pen" injection for about 10 to 14 days, I can't remember exactly.
Then some pills, then some more pills, I think.
Then they will remove eggs from me.

I expect my next period to start on 24th August, which is just 9 days away.

I'm currently 14 weeks pregnant with my IVF baby and know exactly how you feel. I'm crossing everything for you. I was so nervous entering the cycle. I have heard amazing things about Eugin and so know you are in good hands. Good luck!!!
The injections aren't fun and are certainly a hurdle but honestly they're not as bad as you may think. Take each day as they come, really relax and allow your husband/partner to look after you.

Good luck! There are lots of posters going through IVF (some with ICSI, some overseas) on the Egg buddies thread if you want company. I'm on my 3rd cycle now, having egg collection tomorrow.

Well done Londongirl, 14 weeks, wow, I bet your thrilled to pieces.
Well done Eurochick hope the eggy collections go well for you.

I am getting really excited now.
I can feel my period is coming in a day or two.
As soon as I start real bleed, (not just the spotting we were told) we must phone a special "hotline" number to be admitted the following day for the start of the treatment.
We have the injection pen thing, called "PUREON PEN", I am dreading starting the injections, but really looking forward to the start of what we hope will be our new life.
